Midwestern carnival fried desserts
The oreo was delicious as you'd expect. The brownie bite was like hot brownie batter coated in pancake, powdered sugar and caramel sauce. I will absolutely do that again.
Mistakes were made, but it's nothing tums and laying down can't fix.

I mean, the oil is still hot from dinner
What's that old friend? You want me to fry up some oreos and brownie bites? I mean I guess we can do it....

My observations at Applebee's
Things I learned from my last visit to Applebee's:
- White people are in the minority as far as customers go anyway
- People will order online, then get there and stand around waiting for their food for long periods of time. Sometimes they sit at the bar and get a drink while they wait.
- People order fruity drinks in large quantities which puts stress on the single bartender working at the time. Example drink: "The Tipsy Cuban"
- The bartender does one thing at a time. No multitasking. To be fair, I wouldn't rush around if I worked at Applebee's either.
- There are either 1 or 2 people at a table, or a large family with 5+ people. Not really any in-between.
I sat at the bar, ordered pepsi and a quesadilla burger which was microwaved to 🤌 perfection 🤌, and left a >50% tip.

What communities do you frequent outside of midwest.social?
Just curious what people have found so far.

How is everyone doing today?
I noticed many new individuals joining following the Reddit API news. Do you have any questions about this website, Lemmy, or the fediverse?

Shitty facebook ads: What are they suggesting for you?
I check my bare bones Facebook timeline like twice a day. It always suggests either some shitty conservative page or a far-left page. Probably because it knows I like guns lol.
What garbage suggestions do you see when you check your timeline?

Screengeeks - chat about TV and movies
screengeeks.club ScreenGeeks.ClubA CalcKey instance for fans of movies, TV, video games, and tech! This is a safe space. Same rules as https://dmv.community/about.
I've gotten to know @jcrabapple@screengeeks.club because we're both Mastodon instance admins and he has been super helpful. He just started a new server at https://screengeeks.club which, as the login page explains, is "A CalcKey instance for fans of movies, TV, video games, and tech!" It is relatively new but a fun idea.

How's everybody doing today?
I'm doing well. I'm busy at work but not too busy. Recently I bought a raised garden bed, filled it with soil, and planted vegetables in it.
