Eragon was made so terribly that it was impossible to give it a sequel. It's so rewritten that it's a completely different story

Never read the books so I didn't know that.
The biggest issue I had with the movie was Jeremy irons had terrible readings.
His character telling eragon about what happens if you kill a dragon rider makes me cringe every time
