Lol .... I have an old friend who loves dealing with used cars, trucks and motorcycles and as a hobby he is constantly looking up new deals he could consider.
Every time I talk to him about one of these 'deals' ... he ask about the kilometers and convert them to miles and to him it magically reduces the number and the perceived mileage of the vehicle
Me: .... Yeah Joe, the mileage is 149,471 KM
My friend Joe: ...149,471 KM? ... Why that's only 92,877 Miles! ... this thing still has lots of miles to go!

Is he just more used to miles? If he intuitively knows good mileages for various cars, I wouldn't be surprised that he has to convert to miles to evaluate.
It's like if someone who uses Fahrenheit asks what temperature it is to determine what they wear. If you tell them "15°C", it wouldn't be unusual for them to have to convert to 59°F, because they intuitively know how to dress for 59°F but no idea how to dress for 15°C.

anything under 200,000km has lot's of miles to go
it is a hard limit though, soon as you have the 2 in front it's as good as scrap.

Nah. This highly depends on the engine. Turbo charged 1.2 L engines are often dead way before 200k. There are also a lot of "new timers" that easily get 300k+. Not a car guy though, so that's about as much experience as I got.
