Going to be an odd week. I've got a week off work as of Saturday..but I've got to get to Saturday first and that's the real trial. Also got my daughters first 'proper' birthday party, which is making me more anxious than it really should. So much to plan, so little time.
A little saddened because I sold Bitcoin way too early.
I wanted to get out, but if I had set the bar a little higher...
Of course, if you had a crystal ball you could make a lot of money.
I feel you, didn't we all? That's a thought that was haunting me for a bit "if only I had gotten some BTC a bit earlier, and sold at the peak.."
But I think overall, those thoughts are more negative than anything. You can't do much about what happened in the past, you can only change the present.
How it works is , you set up your homestead at the beginning by rolling dice for various characteristics. Then for each day of gameplay you draw a card (from a standard deck of playing cards). For each card there is a corresponding prompt. You write out a scenario based on the prompt.
It felt a little bit like homework at the beginning, but I'm enjoying it now!
So far so good. My kid is having a sleepover this Saturday so mentally preparing now for double the teenage “fun”. Work has been productive! Now preparing for the inevitable crash and burn lol.
About to bail on my HR job because I'm shit at it. Redoing my resume to try and get an IT position instead. I'm young enough to pivot. I also have work experience and half of a master's, which is more than 99% of people applying for Helpdesk jobs. Only problem is I'll probably be taking a huge pay cut and still need to make rent. We'll see how it goes.
Not too good. I had a half hour long conversation with a friend on the phone recently & I realised it's the first time I've had a phone conversation with somebody I actually wanted to talk to in months, except for that time I called another friend freaked out bc I was scared of my neighbour harrassing me. Not exactly the same giddy energy. This phone friend and I tried to meet up and got foiled multiple times. Shit's exhausting.
My first edit to this post was "maybe I should take up gardening or sth but where to start" bc I want to be able to interact with and get feedback from just about anything besides my coworkers once in a while.
Possible new job that pays what I expect for my skillset, hybrid work from home, training for instruments and software I am not yet familiar with so theres an opportunity to grow there. And for the 2 days a week that I would be on site, its just 2 miles from home so I could basically walk to and from work if I wanted.
