We don't expect the world to become vegan over night, but we do need more people like this. I'm not vegan either, but support cutting meat intake and shifting to more plant based and less processed foods. I support this person. Fuck the all-or-none vegans who refuse to budge.
Nuance is dead in pretty much all realms these days. Almost nobody is willing accept imperfect allies or allow for the process of learning and growth required to change one's mind. You're either 100% with me right now or 100% against me forever. It's pretty insane when you take a step back from the emotions involved.
First of all, this is a circlejerk. Second of all, I completely agree. Doing something bad occasionally is totally justified by doing that bad thing less than other people, that makes it okay.
Say, you should come on by my new restaurant! Pancakes' House of Babies. We serve prime cuts of infant, but only ethically harvested babies from unobservant parents. It's healthy meat and darn delicious! Vote with your taste(tm), come on by!
So true bestie! As a vegan carnivore (yes, we exist) it really upsets me whenever PURIST vegans think they have the moral high ground just because they don't consume animal products. Don't they understand that if I don't eat meat at least once a day my brain will violently explode of B12 deficiency? I'm basically forced to eat meat by BIOLOGY, and even if I wasn't, the cows probably don't mind living in battery farms and getting killed anyway otherwise they'd say something.
Completely agree with you. I have been cutting down a lot on abusing my dog, it’s pretty much just once a month now, when my family come to visit we like to get together and share in his pain. It’s a traditional cultural thing. I’ve stopped abusing other people’s dogs and no longer wear a dog’s paw necklace but I still get a ton of abuse from animal rights people whenever I talk about it.
