Did you run the photo through some AI touch-up app or something?
Looks so severely composited, I can't take this to be real. Not critiquing OP at all. It just looks closer to a magazine collage than a real picture.
- I think it's because the artist that colourised it (Flickr user Cassowary Colorizations) left the soldiers quite desaturated compared to the rest of the image. It looks fine in the original greyscale
  
  Thanks that is probably accurate and true. The bottom right side still retains some ghosting that could be indicative of compositing.
How is this enjoyable?
