So it's almost exactly two weeks since my first session. I went to one of the high-power places that needs a medical license (at least in this country), but my somewhat light-colored hair and total lack of pain during the procedure made me really worried. The first week or so showed no progress, the hair seemed to be growing as normal. Then it got a bit thinner, or maybe I was imagining it?
But no, just today, it's been a whole day and almost no stubble or shadow! About 80% has just vanished (most of what remains is on my upper lip and beneath the jaw). I realize that the dormant follicles and so on are going to wake up soon, but I've still got several sessions to go.
So if you've just started and had the same worries as me, really: wait two weeks!
I am unreasonably excited about this. Sorry, past self who waited so long for his beard to come in: you don't need to worry about trying to look masc any more!
I had to use rogaine (sp?) to get my beard to come in thicker so I can imagine a similar level of satisfaction going the other way. Savor the feeling. Happy for you.
That has been my experience as well! Prepaid for 6 sessions so I set my expectations around that. Two weeks after my first, one morning ~90% of my hair wiped right off during my skincare routine. I was sooo excited! I seem to just have a few small active patches left which I'm hoping the second session helps with. Definitely putting money down for my legs and arms next time I go.
Im so glad its working fir you! And slightly jealous if the no pain thing! Hahahaha, it works great, but my hair is thick and dark is the face is sooooo painful lol
Could be the type of laser! I also have/had thick dark hair, but the place I go to has some special tech which quickly shoots a super cold blast of something before the laser zaps. I wouldn't say it's painless, but faaar less painful than I imagined it. Anytime I slightly jumped it was due to the sudden blast of cold air.
I have 6 sessions behind me already and it got rid of many hairs already but I know that I will have to do some electrolysis afterwards because of my grey hairs. My plan is to probably get 6 more laser sessions and then do electrolysis.
I did my first lazoring 5 days ago and I can't feel much difference, but some of my darker beard seem to have thinned out a bit. My beard is ginger with some gray, white and blond hair mixed in. They expected to be able to get maybe 70-80 percent with the laser. I just hope I have the same result as you in a week or so. Facial hair is SO last season.
