The billionaire SpaceX, Tesla, and X CEO claimed the Democratic Party would naturalize enough non-citizens as voters during a Kamala Harris presidency to turn the US into a "one-party state."
Elon Musk claimed Sunday that electing former President Donald Trump in November is the “only way” to save the country from the tyranny of Democrats and illegal migrants.

Well ackschuallllly what he meant was that no other party will stand a chance so it will effectively be a one party system as so many "liberal" immigrants will become citizens that they'll outnumber Republicans everywhere.
And not only that, he is also projecting that dem voters are forever destined to vote dem… you know you can appeal to people still by changing what you offer…
Sweet Jesus, I wish that Democratic voters and politicians were unified enough that if we had a solid majority in this country that we could be considered a one-party state. Even if we somehow did manage to finagle things such that we won the next election 60-40 or more, it's obvious to anyone with a brain that we would immediately celebrate by turning on each other like dogs. The neolibs can't stand the hippies. The hippies can't stand the tech liberals. Most of the people pushed left by identifying with one oppressed minority group or another are in a coalition approximately as stable as the Balkans in 1913.
Democrats' favorite activity is infighting. We like it more than winning elections. The times when we actually manage to get our shit together enough to win are the exception to the rule.
Every GOP accusation is projection. If Trump is elected, this will be the last election. Trump says so himself:
"Speaking to the faithful, the Republican nominee repeated his ominous prediction, promising, “You know what, It’ll be fixed! It will be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians,” he said as he shook his head and placed his hand on the pledge position on the left side of his chest." source
“War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.
Voting Trump is the only way to save democracy” George Orwell, 1984 Elon Musk, aspiring propaganda minister of Trump
I remember the whole cave rescue and calling the rescue guy a pedophile. I feel like that was the moment people realized he was insane and not some real life Tony Stark
Yup I feel the same way, like that was the moment he snapped or the crazy finally came out. Before I was a big fan, but it went downhill from there pretty fast. Though I've heard him on the Lex Friedman podcast like a year ago, and then he came across pretty sane - he just acts insane a lot of other times as well.
"Hi, Pepperidge Farms? Yeah, this is Peter Peppermint at Peppermint farms. I think our lines got crossed again. Yeah. Yeah. It was a page this time. Yeah. Oh no, we threw ours away after that Lebanon thing. Anywho, just wanted you to know. Cheers!"
Can we have that man forcibly removed from our country please? He’s already proven to be threat to our democracy. If he wants to say dumb shit like this, he can do so from far away where our taxes aren’t paying for the services he’s using to circumvent it.
(-_-メ) Please, no! I don't think anyone else wants him.. we only have one Tesla factory in this country and it's on the news on a regular base. And it's never good news.
Maybe we can try to make him want to sit in the next bar he sends to space himself
This already happened in California many years ago, following the 1986 amnesty.
The only thing holding California back from extreme socialism and suffocating government policies is that people can leave California and still remain in America.
There are some other eye opening parts but this one jumped out at me. He really does see the world from only his viewpoint. He thinks California changed for the worse but he could leave to Texas and still influence California using money even though people chose a different form of government than what he wanted.
For him, the collective choosing to change the system is very dangerous and it has to be forever in a status quo so rich people can play both sides.
He made bank on California subsidies for tech and federal money for ev and space development by democrats and now he thinks they're evil once he has enough money...
Tbf, i doubt the gov would keep doing business with him if the country decreased privatization and corruption. So him backing the GOP is actually the best move for him to get the most power.
He doesn't actually believe this nonsense he spews, just like all the other conservative propagandists.
The problem is all the people that believe this idiocy. One of progressives biggest hurdles should be to drastically improve education to teach logic and critical thinking skills at a young age. This would be a cure to a lot of this dumbest of dumb propaganda. It's just so stupid it's obvious. But many people will actually believe it, and spread it.
Unfortunately, we're losing. Public education is not getting better, funding is being cut, and tax money is in some places starting to go to religious private schools. This is all being pushed by conservatives. Keeping the populace stupid is how they stay in power, and wealth.
Thank you for qualifying this. I bought one 6 years ago, back when he said he voted for Hillary and was a dick but not maliciously evil yet. I have the car and will never buy another from him. I never thought it would end up like this.
And here I didn't think I could hate this guy any more. Truly a vile piece of shit. I'm glad I never bought one of his cars and well he's at that company, I never will.
This is a prime example of how big business can cozy up to authoritarianism. Of course in the name of offering a service to the nation or saving something precious to all, I guess it’s “democracy” in this instance. Deep down I think it’s about asking a simple question: which regime will be most accommodating to fulfilling my ambitions, i.e. sustaining and growing my business empire with the least amount of oversight or regulation? Who is more likely to be anti-union? Who is more likely to employ migrants without granting them political rights? Who is less likely to tax the rich? Who is more likely to give me more power to influence public opinion and public policy? Elon is, in some respects, correctly betting on Trump. Of course it is a risky bet, and a marriage of convenience; one will sooner or later lose favor with the other. It would probably be wiser of Musk to stay out of the limelight and play Democrats against Republicans whenever and however it suits him. But I guess he can’t help himself. To be honest I don’t even know whether it’s possible for a major business figure to remain neutral in a country where perhaps the best predictor of a presidential candidate’s success is the amount of donations their campaign receives.

Someone didn't learn from history, every fascist government to date, be it the Nazis, the Fascisti or even Franco have shown that the capitalist and the fascist work well together, after all the standard corporate structure already shares a model with fascist power structures (surprising how many people fail to realize that a top-down authoritarian structure with stark consequences for disobedience and that cultivate collective ignorance as to what you are doing and how it impacts people, that you systematically dehumanize), not just because the fascist power structure was literary built on the idea of the company structure of the time
If that's true, it's more than money. If you take money from the mafia and don't deliver, it's about your life. That could be one of the many reasons he tried to back away from the purchase. I don't get why CIA isn't all over this.
And it's not just about the election. They're trying to destabilize everything in the west.
I'm a foreigner NOT living in the US, so my opinions may or may not be valid, idk:
Musk, asshole as he may be, is an example of something that's always been going on in the US:
Immigrants come there looking for better lives, work hard, and many lead exceptional lives. The US has always benefitted from this, and it's a key reason for its' economic dominance over the last hundred-ish years.
However, he wants to close the door after him because other people improving their lives scares him. And people voting for slightly more humane conditions scares him too. Think about it, he'll have fewer billions added to his net worth if he has to treat his employees like people.
He's simultaneously a symbol of everything that's amazing about the US and also of everything that is horrible about it.
because the US has spent decades creating a culture that allows this level of stupidity in their national politics
Stupid people saying stupid things in public is only considered acceptable if everyone that is listening in to all the stupidity are stupid themselves.
Man eel on musk is just so far down the rabbit hole these days it’s insane. It’d be fascinating to watch if it weren’t for the fact that he runs Twitter and is trying to use it to swing the election to Trump.
He's in profile pretending to pour it in his mouth like a sloppy sleight-of-hand artist, but it's very clearly spilling all over his shoulder down his pants into his socks.
I honestly think thats why Trump acts like he dose. His demented peanut brain could not handle the unfiltered power of the internet.
He's spinelessly pandering to the loudest voice he hears and latching onto the first thing that draws attention. Extremist follow him as he's saying what they like. He say more extreme shit to get more cheers, more Nazis show up and cheer him into another extreme statement. Trump can't form a coherent view on his own and goes with the crowd, he just attracted a horde of monsters smelling second hand power.
Musk sees a weak old man that can easily be swayed with a little bit of dick sucking and donations.
He has all the time in the world to be on X as opposed to running his other companies straight into the ground. He's basically a lolcow at this point, and he has the pull and capital to drive the world into ruin.
