This is an excellent introduction to bullet hell shmups, and was mentioned by 1CC JAM in the Meet the Player podcast.

Fair warning that the Pixel Pilots channel uses a computer generated voice for narration, so if that's not your thing, you might want to skip this one.

On the other hand if you speak Portuguese and haven't checked out ShmupsBR you might want to give him a shot! (And if, like me you don't speak the language there are English subtitles available for all his videos.)

A 1 Credit Clear or 1CC of Darius II on easy (which was originally supposed to be the normal difficulty). Played on the Darius Cozmic Collection using 12hz rapidfire.

A neat little video that succinctly explains what makes Gunbird a fun game.
