Hi, there!
π
I was born in 1989, so I am an ancient grandpa and demand respect for my lawn. (/s ya right like I own a house)
(P.s. I am not a sexy hairy ripped daddy bear, but I do own a cat named Tammy πββ¬)
A brain that's been washed would qualify as ignorant, for me
They serve breakfast? Long island iced teas?
I cooked at a bar for a year in college after i served, to this day i check for tip jars put out for cooks because you all deserve the real money. Only see them once in a while though, sadly
You think the people who didn't even realize that Biden wasn't running are adamantly keeping tabs on the status of UBI? Because even if it was passed in a legislative miracle, Republicans would take credit, and they would believe them. I don't agree that this would sway the "wait, did biden drop out? What's black tea?" voters.
It was a pretty bad visit. I ordered ranch with my fries, and my patty melt with only American cuz i don't know why you'd want swiss on a patty melt. They brought me the melt with swiss, and I got blue cheese for my fries. And didn't get a water until i was finished with my melt.
Tipped her 10$ cuz she was overworked and I used to be a server. Yay tip culture.
I struggle to think of what to call it and how to describe it, too. But it really is like a consistent quality. Some sort of reasoning blindness. It's like listening to someone who is colorblind but doesn't know critique a painting.
So if the party did more, people wouldn't be googling "is the current president running for president?" the day before election? I don't really see how the party trying harder in the right way would fix people's innate ignorance.
The DNC deserves a ton of blame, but 2024 has taught me there is no democracy without an educated population, and ours is not educated.
I just got back from drowning my sorrows into a patty melt at a local bar I frequent. I normally go at night, so the daytime servers were new to me. Got a 40ish year-old lady server who was overworked because everywhere is understaffed now. I asked for some tea because I hadn't had caffeine yet, and she looks at me puzzled and says, "like hot tea?" And I say "Yes! Black please, but green is ok too if you don't have it." And she looked at me, still confused, and said, "Well i don't know what that is, but we have regular hot tea I can bring you with some hot water." After she left to put in my order, I couldn't stop thinking about this exchange.
This article gives me the same exact feeling. Whatever is happening that allows adult SERVERS to be unfamiliar with one of the most popular drinks on the planet. Whatever allowed it so so many people didn't even realize Biden had dropped out...is the reason we lost to trump. It's the reason Democrat weren't able to break through on any issue. We were either talking to brick walls, or black holes. It's no ones fault but that servers that she was unaware of black tea. You can't force people to be intellectually curious or skeptical or even open minded. And these same people get to vote. And that's why we can't have nice things.
I didn't like it, myself. I played through to the end and found it incredibly tedious for what you got out of the story, which was basically just a tale about a macguffin in the ocean with sea monsters. The biggest complaint was how painful they made navigating the memory scenes. Every time you want to do anything, you first gotta backtrack all over the ship and you gotta wait through these intro and outro cutscenes and music, and it got old very fast for me. I also got tired of the entire gimmick about 25% in, as there is no variation to the puzzles in the game, they are all set up the sameβtry to identify people based on surroundings and descriptions, 60+ times. The art direction was really impressive at first, but quickly became dull to me around the time the gimmick started the wear thin.
Tl;dr: it's admittedly a very creative take on a mystery game, but unfortunately playing through to the end is tedious and lacks needed QoL features.
It's funny, cuz i remember tons of responses like that when i used Reddit, too. But the onslaught was often worse cuz the larger user base had more power to bombard you with insults about how wrong you are, and give you 49 downvotes in 10 minutes just cuz you give some criticisms about a popular game you didn't happen to enjoy and forgot to add reluctant praise to ("i recognize it's a great game and well made, but its just not for me sad face.")
I think this is just a bad part of the internet, in general. Similar things would even happen in AOL chatrooms if someone voiced a disliked opinion, I remember Diamond chat would get crazy
"Counter-protesting" things like george floyd always blows my mind. It's like booing if someone tells you they beat cancer.
Voices of the Void.
Oh, wait. It's free right now??? Go get it!
Gas gets old and can corrode the gas tank over time, which takes time and money to fix. You can push it a little bit, but its a good practice to get into to increase longevity
Isn't he Jesus in that movie? Is jesus immortal? Tbh i dunno i don't believe in magic
Two words technically, but "Nothing doing!"
Sort of an old fashioned way to say "no way"
Okay, you got me! Hi-fi Rush is a masterpiece of perfection, the others that upvoted my OP are definitely wrong too, and any criticism ever considered by a player is just incorrect, because a lot of people loved it, and things a lot of people love are always perfect.
So sorry for the confusion! Have a good weekend!
Just because things are highly beloved does not mean they aren't flawed and couldn't use improvements. Starfield has an 83 on metacritic. Life is Strange an 85. As of right now, only 190 people are playing Hi Fi Rush on Steam. 204 are currently playing Bayonetta, for comparison. I never said the game was a trainwreck or totally unenjoyable, i said i believed it could have been even better if they paid attention to criticisms that put off the people who didn't enjoy it.
Edit: also just looking at the percentages on the global steam achievements and most people do not even see the ending for a 9 hour game. The achievement for beating it on normal difficulty is ......16%.
I'm glad you liked it, but the two camps are definitely "this game is a masterpiece" and "this game combat is overbloated and feels sloppy". Just check the negative steam reviews, they eco similar sentiments to each other
Ya!!! The prequel to nier β€οΈ
This game was only good for 4-5 hours, imo. Hi-fi rush was a refreshing concept that attracted attention because it stood out in a sea of similar looking titles that the mainstream has become. But they didn't follow through on the player feedback for such a creative leap in gameplay. It really shows when they start piling on new gameplay mechanics, and combat stops being fun and becomes a mess of awkward controls and spazzy cameras and frustrating vertically-aligned jumping.
My experience with Walmart+
What do you guys think about Walmart+? Service has good value, or just another way a company can suck more money out of consumers while providing the bare minimum of service and quality?

Why can't I reply to comments from kbin.social?
This is happening to me a number of times now and I can't figure out why. I'll be trying to have a conversation through comments and I'll run into a commenter I want to reply to from kbin, And I'll type up my comment and get ready to hit post but then it just fails over and over. I've only noticed it on that server
Replaying original with the 2.0 update
I've been playing the original again and it's the first time since the big backwards update from Below Zero, and for the most part I'm appreciating the improvements. But I'm wondering if anyone has noticed any weirdness with progression now? It's hard for me to tell since playing it after you know everything is so much different, but it really feels like they piled on too many blueprints right around when you get the all purpose circular room. Suddenly I have all these rooms and glass options on top of the normal game progression, and it sort of feels...dirty? Like I got end game content too soon? It's like there's barely anything to unlock anymore and I haven't even made it to the lost river. I think I wish they put a little more thought into the timing of dropping.tvose blueprints, or maybe even hiding them in the game world.
Is there anything you've noticed different in the game that you like playing after the update? That you didn't like? It does run smoother in general so that's nice, way less popping!
Thanks for reading βοΈ
