Yeah what a retarded take. NMS is a lonely boring experience with the dullest ditch water plot (love those vague-nothing dialogues lol) and the worst gameplay loop in a while. Don’t worry they’re adding x pointless feature in an update!
Granted I’m waiting on release to play SF, but no fucking way are the games similar.
Yep! I don't care about trump, elon musk and what lame alternative to discord there is. Slowly blocking stuff will be the way I guess
I’m back to Reddit, I kinda gave up here, but I’ll look a couple of times a week.
Too much politics. Linux. Privacy. Bidet talk. ADHD. Bad memes. Techbabble. Snore
No matter the filters I just can’t get an interesting feed, I just blocked about 6 political subs just today - it’s kinda shitty content imo (for me anyway)
I’m happy this exists but the rage honeymoons over for me. Old habits die hard I guess …..now……..back to arguing with bots!!
I really despise that 3D no texture / low poly look. On Reddit when you see those ‘I have a dream, quit my job and now I’m making ………. Game!’ posts, some concepts sound amazing; aaaaaand it’s one of those game.
Settlement Survival is one. Big Banished fan, and Ss’ graphics just look worse to me. Like a cheap mobile game.
Not to say all of these are bad, Deep Rock looks gorgeous and smashes it in the art direction department
2D I don’t mind as there’s a lot of wiggle room to play with stylistically.
Yep, I’m struggling to find a good filter still, I’m kinda getting bored of both tbh. The top content here is shit imo, and that’s with meme communities filtered. Happy that people here are of a better class of course so it’s fun to see this place grow.
I’m very greatful for Voyagers mark read on scroll so it’s just a matter of blitzing past like apollos experience.
Narwhal is decent for reddit at least but pales in comparison to Apollo (of course)
Not the right place to ask, or maybe to be seen. But I watched ACG's video on this and I LOVE the classes and how meat n potatoes they are. No guffy [what I call] Horde style shit like Necromancer or whatever.
I've only ever played DnD once IRL in a discord and some online board thing, but I enjoyed the dice rolling and how posistioning worked. Is it a bit of xcom meets diablo if I twisted your arm to compare to another game genre? A friend and I tried that Gloomhaven game and we HATED it lol, but this looks a little more engaging at least from a very first glance.
Plus a few friends have picked it up, so i'm not sure if I could join their game to help kinda like we did with D4 which was super fun.
Also, fuck webp files when I’m trying to do a quick photoshop project.
I thought this was Malcolm from Malcy in the Middle lol
I saw purchases carry forward which is nice as I have a few stashes on file that I got somewhat recently.
Windows is better than linux
media share servers, even better [when they're not getting banned, or forced to use jellyfin lol]
Raft!
Totally random purchase with a friend and we have loved it and have been hard lining it.
Pretty much at the end now post story but now we’re just finishing off the ship. It’s been so nice I’m kinda sad it’s almost over.
We did originally mean to play Conan Exiles one night but just randomly grabbed raft, it’s really really good.
Yeah! That ending 😍
As above, So Below
Let me preface this with I also love most of the Paranormal Activity movies and Cloverfield, that found footage format when it came out to the mainstream was just really gripping to me and I try to vacuum up as much of them as I can.
As above, So Below really stuck with me, despite the opinion being somewhat mixed. I'll also say, for some reason - I really like caves/subterranea. Minecraft, Deep Rock, 7 Days to Die mining, Runescape. I think I must of been a dwarf in a past life/dimension or some shit.
It just felt really desperate and the tunnel/horror aspect just kept going, those guys were fucked basically and it kept getting weirder.
Dylatov pass was a similarly cool but kinda shitty movie too, it has another name too Devil's pass or something. I like that for similar reasons too, kinda dumb but equally hopeless feeling.
I don't remember the name because it ALSO had two release names [regionally] for some reason. But it was two english ghost hunters who stayed in a church, there was a weird priest every now and then, and no spoilers - they found an underground basement and it...went from there he he he. That was good too and probably lower than 50% . Anyone know the name?? Found footage of course.
I miss the days of CD keys and multiple disks, oh and owning a cd drive within the last decade. Oh wait, nah I like my expansive day 1 regged steam account with everything in it, ever and cheap keys.
Although I do miss manuals. A good manual in the pre-smartphone world was epic toilet reading. Or a good bradygames strat guide. The GTA:SA one was soooo good.
I'm the same too, was whipping out reddit on the phone at any chance, or browsing while doing something in discrod with mates. Now it's Voyager for a quick blast (honestly, I kinda hate the feeds, I don't have a comfy one yet, understand they're reworking it soon-ish) and for a good read, I'm back on friggin...SomethingAwful and reading some legendary threads from past and present, it's like a magical book of schadenfreude. Way better than mindless nothing on Reddit [Apollo].
Thanks Spez!
Yea I’ve struggled to find active niches but there’s loads of Garbo memes, porn and Linux stuff. Working on building my own feed but…Christ 😄
Is there a way to block keywords? I hated mentions of this pixel shit on reddit, and even more so here -.-
Price hikes suck but; I'm happy with YT premium, we watch a lot on TV (apple tv) and I skip between ipad and iphone every day. By all means if there's an EASY alternative that doesn't involve some janky bedroom api side loading jailbreaking shiz, i'm all ears though...
I had some crappy youtube thing on firestick before I upgraded to appletv and it was crap, ad free was nice but it was horrible and would always stop working in some form or fashion, it was a pain to maintain so I just paid for prem in the end.
I never watch on PC outside of short tutorial videos so browser addons are kinda redundant.
Ye you gotta block the shit that annoys you here :)
Do any mobile apps have 'mark read once scrolled past posts' yet?
I've been a fan of Memmy for the most part, but post Apollo i've still been out of sorts with any platform. I really miss marking-read once you scroll past posts on my phone.
Apollo spoiled me for years with this feature and manually upvoting each one to hide gets old fast, as a viscious hider of content once i've seen it :)
What's your filter settings on Lemmy? I feel like I miss the big posts and such.
Been loving the fed, but the past few days i'm wondering if my setup is wrong on this site?
Unspecified and English are my language settings in the account config.
I tend to go with Hot and check Top Day on All. I also am a heavy hider - once I open an image, check comments that post is gone [which I prefer, I don't ever dip back, unless I get a reply]
I have the big meme communities blocked so that's a massive chunk of content I'm missing out on, not that i'm complaining; it was too dominant.
Despite my local instance only being defedded with one community, I feel like i'm really not getting All on my....All.
Is it better to subscribe to stuff and set Subscribed to my default feed instead?
Thanks, hopefully i've not buggered something up
How come there’s no big gaming community?
Either my searching is wrong, or there’s a weird sub name out there….but I find it perplexing that us nerds haven’t made a big gaming sub yet?
I’ve seen a lemmy world one, a pcgaming on kbin, a beehaw one that’s mostly dead….but no big boi general one?
I’ve blocked 3 fuck cars communities just this evening but I nary see any gaming posts in my ALL - active/hot.
Weird. Someone point me in the right direction please 😅
