Self-declaration of identity (Alternative to government ID)
  • This is like those silly fake IDs that the sovereign citizen goofballs use, and as such it would fail at being an ID in the same ways.

While not helpful for privacy, the truth is that the only reason a state ID has any value is because it comes from a 'trusted' source who verifies the information on it. An ID that isn't issued by a trusted source has no value, as it would be no different from me just asking the person holding it who they are, they can say whatever they like, just as their printed card could say whatever it likes.

  • WYR: Have an internet without ads or an internet without AI.
  • Internet without AI easily, because lets be real. If the AI were on the ad free internet, they'd just be the vector for the ads to be distributed. You'd think you're talking to a person, and you'll find you're really talking to a chatbot who is going to try and influence you to buy its operator's products.

  • There's a country in Europe called Ireland.

I don't know much about the politics and policies there, but what I do know is that if I drop the street view guy there, most places are green and pretty. That puts it pretty high up on my list.

  • How many of you are thinking of leaving America after the election results?
  • The way I see it, why leave?

Am I just going to let the place fall to ruin because I didn't get my way this time? There are people here who want to make things better, just like I do, and they will need my help next time. It'd be selfish for me to leave them and make things better for just myself when we're supposed to be trying to make things better for everyone.

If things get truly bad, I have to hope that more people will want to make things better. That doesn't work if everyone just runs away at the first sign of things going wrong. If you're of a group where you might be persecuted, and you find yourself in danger, then go, run, but I'm reasonably safe for now, so I will stay and hope for a better tomorrow.

  • How do Americans win their country back?
  • Your fear of a 3rd term makes it all the more important to vote in your future elections. As the two term limit is imposed through a constitutional amendment, they'd need to create another constitutional amendment to reverse it. They need 2/3rds of both the house and the senate to agree to even get the ball rolling, as such, it is vital that you do what you can to prevent them from acquiring those numbers to avoid that situation.

If it did happen, I wonder if the democrats would run Obama again.

  • November surprise
  • Well, I'm not really sure Pyroclastic Ash and Debris would hit the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the election, since most of the states outside of its campaign range would likely not vote for it. This would push the vote for president to the House, where Pyroclastic Ash and Debris has no members of their party to vote for them, resulting in a Trump victory, with the Senate picking the VP, where I'd assume they'd agree on Pyroclastic Ash and Debris' running mate.

  • Tim Walz wants you to think he'd be a competent vice president, and yet he's never shown us any indication that he can effectively pleasure a microphone.
  • I'm not convinced that's too much of a problem. Now, if he were running for president, I'd say that'd make him unqualified, since you need that skill for that job, however, since he's only running as VP, we'd only notice he can't whenever President Harris is busy getting a colonoscopy.

  • DOD "Anxious" Over Trusting Musk with Spy Satellites
  • Aw man, if only there was some sort of space administration that you could invest some of your trillions of dollars into so that your satellites could be launched by a group that you can monitor and trust.

  • Can you help me find a solution. Can I get a monitor on an arm or something?

So, long story short, I have vision problems, and I need to work closely with my monitor. So I'd like to have a solution where I can grab my monitor and pull it close to my face for use, and push it back over the desk when I am done with it. I don't really know what what I'm looking for is called, or if anything like this even exists. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable in the subject than I am can help me out here.

While I am at it, I am hoping to replace my monitor as well. I would like it if the monitor had a harder material on the screen, rather than the fragile feeling plasticy stuff that computer monitors are normally made of, since my nose frequently bumps the screen, resulting in me needing to clean it often.

Once I remove my current monitor, I will have two displayport ports and one HDMI open on my card.

I am hoping to find a solution that costs less than three-thousand dollars. But with niche hardware like this, I understand that it may be more expensive.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for reading my post and considering helping me out!
