Property owners in Cincinnati see a rare return on the stadium tax.
Mellotone Beer Project grand opening on November 22 in site of old Taft's Ale House
Awesome news. Been waiting for this for a bit.
Just read today that they still don't know as it's being investigated. No timeline on when the report/cause will come out.
'The missing piece': Potential sites, cost for a new Cincinnati arena unveiled
>- A new arena would cost between $675 million and $800 million. >- Public funding may cover 70% of the costs. >- Sites near the Duke Energy Convention Center are considered the most desirable
Oh yay, yet another thing for the taxpayers to fund...
Everything I've seen is they might have a Reds-only package or you can add it to an existing mlb.tv subscription. I would hope it's included by default but from what I read it won't be. At least obviously for locals.
Sam Adams buys up more land in West End for expansion
>"The purchase of additional land in the West End is part of our overall investment in the Samuel Adams Cincinnati Brewery that is intended to help streamline operations and create efficiencies throughout the brewing, packaging, and shipping processes," Brittany Zahoruiko, senior manager of communications at Boston Beer Co., told the Business Courier.
The Reds become the 7th team under the MLB broadcast umbrella.

I very much hope you're right. We (Reds fans) were all hoping it would fall through last year and we'd have MLB or whoever come in and just put us on mlb.tv or something. I know of very few people that have a cable subscription that has Bally in it.
I will say- it's at least nice I can watch NHL on espn+ but the blackout thing is the biggest hit to that. One of the few things the Apple TV MLS pass did right.
Long vacant Chong building becoming hotel
>Keystone Hotel Group is building a 109-key Home2 Suites by Hilton at the site of the historic former Chong building at 614 and 616 Race St.
>Patel in April told Cincinnati City Council’s budget committee that his investment is a direct result of the city, county and 3CDC’s plans to overhaul the Duke Energy Convention Center, build a new headquarters hotel and develop a new district around them.
Honestly not sure what this means. I feel like MLB should be doing their own package like NBA and MLS, etc. instead of relying on an increasingly anachronistic RSN model. I know that takes time but they should probably get cracking on it.
Would love to just use mlb.tv to watch the Reds and not have to chase Spectrum/Bally/whatever.
The church across from the library FYI.
Downtown Cincinnati's 'iconic' St. Louis Church listed for sale
>The Archdiocese of Cincinnati has enlisted CBRE’s Travis Likes and John Schenk to market the former St. Louis Church building at 29 E. Eighth St., with an asking price of $2 million.
Still waiting to see what the cause is.
$50M Findlay Recreation Center clears city review despite concern over design
The Cincinnati Reds need to add players this offseason, but the most pressing needs may not be what you initially think of.
The stadium’s current elliptical shape makes it hard to enclose, Hamilton County Administrator Jeff Aluotto said. And even if such a stadium attracts big events, such as the NCAA Final Four or the Super Bowl, the huge economic impact of those events will not pay for the borrowing needed to construct a dome.
Bingo
Cost to enclose Paycor Stadium expected to run $900 million to $1 billion
Another idea in support of throwing good money after bad..
Same. I like their seasonal imperial IPAs but a standard one would be nice too.
Basically- it's getting more crowded and will only get more so once the Liberty+Elm project finishes. The lower 1.25/hour rate is a better look than garage parking that starts at 3/hour.
Makes sense to me, especially after they completed that new garage.
Personally most looking forward to Melltone Beer Project. Great space and I have great hope for their beer. Wish they had been selling that instead of food for Blink.
Thought the same. Really enjoyed the Cincinnatus one myself.
That's the hope. If we're going to do it at least make it worth it for the city.
Oof. That is quite bad. Our bus rides were easy in comparison but we're in the city.
Sadly it is not sounding good. Hope he can recover.
We live in the city and still take the bus. I can't imagine trying to park down there. It is absolutely packed everywhere.
And yes- I felt like the last one was the worst. So here's hoping.
This is all pretty foolish if you ask me. A dome would be super expensive. I think it's about time we stop throwing good money after bad.
And as for an arena- only go forward if studies show it will more than likely AT LEAST make back what we put into it. Ideally more.
It really is a great establishment.
Kind of did myself. Flew under the radar but another few weeks to build up some interest.
I think the downfall of it hasn't helped. At least in my opinion it's gotten steadily worse each iteration.
Good but brief article.
We see the issue. But this cheap ass FO won't do a damn thing to fix it. Putting new paint on the walls while the foundation crumbles.
Maybe they'll do something before I die. Either of old age or agony of having to watch us careen from rebuild to rebuild without hope in between.
