In Unexpected Move, Trump Taps Pro-Union Republican to Lead Labor Department
  • Ooh, not at all :) We Spaniards still remember the Vertical Trade Union.

  • New Rule
  • Because they all belong to the same semantic domain I guess.

  • Spain to legalise about 300,000 undocumented immigrants per year
  • Dependsa lot on what you are comparing it with, I like to play with this page: https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/comparison.jsp

  • What is the smallest city in your country that everyone can still instantly recognise the name of? What is it famous for?
  • Puerto Hurraco. Population 100. Everybody in Spain recognises its name because of a shooting that got burned into the collective mind.

  • Does anyone know whether they published the ordered statement and where?

  • Australian businesses selling essential goods and services to be forced to accept cash payments
  • If you have pen and paper and the key to the drawer you don't need a working POS on the spot to accept cash while comms are out and record the transactions later.

And exactly: where does the cash appear from? That's the "should always be an option" part.

Of course there's drawbacks for everything: less secure for staff if you accept cash vs inability to do anything when comms fail if you don't.

There might be a further point, although I haven't looked into the reasons: Sweden started the cashless experiment before and they are backpedaling now.

  • Australian businesses selling essential goods and services to be forced to accept cash payments
  • I don't disagree with cashless being the preferred method, but cash should always be an option because e.g. in case of disaster, the infrastructure that cashless depends on can be impaired for a while.

  • LICENSE.TXT
  • It should be.

  • What piece of media would you like adapted to another?
  • The Divine Comedy to a high budget high quality movie.

  • Wednesday it is, my dudes.
  • Interesting, I say CROAC. Probably there's a lot of geographical variation.

  • LGBT + legal equality index, 2024
  • I agree that countries ara hard to compare "in bulk" but I think that naming the chart with the wording "legal equality" hints at acknowledging that it's representing a very concrete dimension of equality in general.

  • Can anyone confirm this map of Spain as accurate
  • They are the New Zealand of Spain.

  • Can anyone confirm this map of Spain as accurate
  • Well, and that being said, my very personal perception is that the will to leave is more significant (without going into whether it's majority or not) in Catalonia, Galicia and the Basque Country. The other highlighted in my opinion would be happy with greater recognition of their peculiarities (namely language) and less dependence of a central government.

I'm sacrificing a lot of accuracy and nuance in order to keep my comment short.

  • I think I broke a HuggingFace chat with Nous

    I just told it to

    >Make a cheatsheet with two columns: on the left, Markdown syntax; on the right, the ReStructured Text equivalent.

and it started well but after a minute it seemed to enter a loop outputting the same thing over and over again.

Is this something one should report, or is it something that sometimes happens with ai chats?

Can you recommend me an .au registrar?

    Hi!

I used to have a non-.au domain with Gandi because they had a reputation of doing things right and doing the right thing.

My problem now is getting an .au domain because it's an extra $96 with them, apart from the domain fees.

Can you recommend me a good alternative that is also less-shady-than-the-average-big-company? Domain only, I already have hosting somewhere else.

    Thanks!

Just got The SMS, did I get the memo right?

My second hand device could have worked perfectly fine for another couple of years :(

    What was this bug?

Or plant? Sorry if only tangentially related! Second time I don't notice any bites, just itching and after a day or two the monstrosity pictured appears and stays for like a week :( Tropical North Queensland.
