the thing about souls games is that people on the internet insist that the only REAL way to play them is through extra difficult self-imposed challenge runs (summons? resin? pyromancy? you didn't beat the game)
ignore that and you can temper the difficulty down a lot, though you'll likely still need a good amount of patience and perseverance, especially if it's your first time playing
I reject the premise of your question.
Imagine being so devoid of soul and spirit you turn your OS into kubernetes
Graphics cards totally scream when they die too, the smell warns their symbiotic sysadmins to turn off the power
And don't even get me started on how chalkboards scream when you scratch them, why do vegans not talk about this cruelty
Weird how every time veganism comes up everyone is suddenly deathly allergic to anything that doesn't scream when it dies

Newly-restructured Swedish conglomerate, Embracer Group, will leverage AI models to bolster game production.
As noted in Embracer's annual report, the company has adopted a new AI policy package it claims has the capability to "massively enhance" its production process by "increasing resource efficiency, adding intelligent behaviors, personalization, and optimization to gameplay experiences."
Embracer says that, by leveraging AI, it will be able to create more engaging and immersive experiences that provide each player with a "unique, dynamic, and personalised experience."
"We also see great opportunities for AI in game development speed, logistics and planning. Embracer Group also understands the potential risks associated with the use of AI," adds the company, noting that "AI can also be used within areas such as logistics or HR to improve planning, decision-making, support talent acquisition and enhance employee experiences or retention."
Embracer, which laid off over 1,500 employees and cancelled 80 projects during the past year, suggests that not using AI for "relevant tasks" will lead to it being "outrun by our competitors."
The company concedes that adopting AI models isn't without risk, but claims the policy will "empower" workers to help the create "more powerful experiences in the same amount of time."
"Companies within Embracer Group that utilize AI within their operations are subject to general as well as specific laws and requirements that impact the development and use of AI. These requirements are, due to the nature of AI applications, comprehensive and require, among others, documentation, risk assessments as well as continuous updates," reads the company's risk assessment.
"AI may also produce unethical, biased, discriminatory or completely wrong results if it has not been properly trained, instructed or used for purposes it was not designed. Additionally, AI generated material is not patentable or copyrightable meaning we must understand how material is produced, especially by third parties, since such material may produce serious copyright or intellectual property issues with the final product." Embracer says AI models won't supplant human workers
Embracer states it doesn't want to replace people with AI and is taking a "human-centric approach" to the technology–going so far as to claim it could open the door for new hires.
"It's not just that AI enables our developers to do even more, and to become more efficient on certain tasks, it will also open up coding to a broader group of developers. Entry into the industry might be easier for individuals with disabilities who, for instance, cannot use a keyboard as easily as others," said Embracer's head of privacy and AI governance, Tomas Hedman.
Hedman says the company's "risk-aware approach" means being cognizant of the pitfalls associated with AI models. That's why, he says, Embracer must "act consciously."
"AI is trained on historical data, which tilts in a certain direction. As a result, you can end up with imbalanced automated decision-making. Let’s say you’re building a village. If you use AI for this, depending on how it’s trained and the decisions it takes, you may end up with a village with a demography that displays some sort of imbalance," says Hedman.
"As AI models become more powerful, we can leverage their capacity also in the creative process, for example, by identifying inconsistencies in scripts and storytelling. There will be tremendous benefits for our creative teams regarding scriptwriting, image creation, idea generation, quality control, and more. And, as models become more human-like, the interaction between players and AI-supported functions will be much more dynamic. If in a game scenario you bargain, AI can remember this the next time. That makes the whole gaming experience much more interesting and lifelike."
Embracer isn't the first company to espouse the potential of AI. Earlier this year, EA boss Andrew Wilson claimed 60 percent of the publisher's development processes could soon be impacted by generative AI. Others including Sony, Square Enix, Ubisoft, and more have also begun tinkering with the tech.
Not existing, or spending your entire short life "happily" being literal livestock existing only to have products extracted from you on the 0.00001% of farms that both don't abuse their animals (more than is "necessary" for livestock farming) and stimulate them beyond dropping them in a field where they can catch a glimpse of a car every so often.
Hmm hmm hmm. What a conundrum.
Hold on, let me get my B12 deficient brain around this with a basic hypothetical example...
100 cows are killed each year at an evil factory farm for 10 people. One person suddenly develops a conscience and decides to change their lifestyle by not eating their cow products, switching to a purely iceberg lettuce based diet, reducing demand by 10% outright and causing 10 fewer cows to be bred for the evil factory farm.
But actually this is WORSE than someone developing only a bit of a conscience and deciding that instead of giving the evil factory farm money for 10 dead cows a year, they'll give their farmer best friend who they know personally and trust and who gives the cows pedicures and lets them drift away quietly in their sleep money for 10 dead cows a year? And this is better and more moral because in this world it is a universal constant that a set amount of cows must be killed each year, and by abstaining from meat entirely you are giving the evil factory farm a greater proportion of the cosmically allocated dead cow quota?
Because if so, this is great news for my ethical cat steak business.
I'm sorry, I'll try harder next time. Will you find it in your heart to forgive me, like the ethically raised cows forgive ethical farmers for putting them out on an empty pasture for a couple of years, branding them, regularly inseminating them to keep them producing milk, and then killing them at the ripe old age of about a fifth of their natural life span? A fate, we will all admit, that is much better than simply not existing in the first place. Honestly, I'd take their place myself if I could, if it meant an ethical meat eater didn't need to pass up their daily steak.
Trolling? Just because I dared to share my culinary culture, passed down through many generations of animal lovers, on your stupid vegan website? This sort of toxicity is why no one respects you vegans. I'm going to eat twice as many ethically sourced cat burgers now, maybe you can use this as an opportunity to think about how to get people on your side instead of just being an asshole on your (vegan) high horse 🤣😂🖕
Thank you for your mindfulness and letting the animals you eat have the nicest possible life 🤗 I'm a vegan, but when I really get the cravings for protein (plants simply don't have any) I go on the internet and find cats looking to be rehomed, then after pampering them for a few weeks, I butcher and eat them. It's a lot more ethical than supermarket meat, the cats always seem so happy and content knowing they give their lives for my continued survival! Of course I make sure to ethically and painlessly kill them by beating their skull in with a baseball bat, in case you were concerned. They have only one very bad day in their entire life, ha ha!
Tribalism is fun
So true bestie! As a vegan carnivore (yes, we exist) it really upsets me whenever PURIST vegans think they have the moral high ground just because they don't consume animal products. Don't they understand that if I don't eat meat at least once a day my brain will violently explode of B12 deficiency? I'm basically forced to eat meat by BIOLOGY, and even if I wasn't, the cows probably don't mind living in battery farms and getting killed anyway otherwise they'd say something.
I'm vegan btw.
In Bongland these loaves are referred to as toast bread, probably because toasting is all they're good for.
Stop buying shitty toast bread and you won't want to cut the crust off.

Shame that they gave in to the haters, single click is great. Far more intuitive too, as you'd immediately tell if you ever had to guide your parents around a computer constantly reminding them in which arbitrary situation you're meant to double click and in which to single click.
