I think you’re spot on here. I only chime in when it’s convenient for me, particularly when the topic is something I’m well versed with.
When there are good initiatives like this that should only be used by the intended audience, they get exploited and eventually shut down. Screw the exploiters! How do they even justify it to themselves?
Nailed it - it became trendy to dislike Nickelback, Imagine Dragons and the likes
Unfortunately they became a bit annoying after a bit but looking back, they've put out some fantastic tracks that are hard not to groove to
Kinda like Nickelback. How can you not enjoy Rockstar
The Strokes in general are a fantastic band and there's been no album of theirs that I haven't enjoyed including Comedown Machine
So what about the iPhones pre IP68 certification? They never wanted this
They’re awesome! But kinda unusable when you’re outside and connected to mobile data. Phone heats up quicker than usual, battery doesn’t last as long. I’m on a Pixel 6A, for context.
But condemn Nazism and treatment of Jews under Hitler?
It’s really no different from Russia there. Except, with a WW2 Hitler flavour in dealing with minorities
NFTs in their mainstream form were the most cringe-worthy concept imaginable. A random artist makes a random ape which suddenly becomes a collectible, and all it happened to be was an S3 url on a particular blockchain? Which could be replicated on another chain? How did people think this was a smart thing to invest in?! Especially the Apes and rubbish?!
A 2009 W211! E280D. Gorgeous design that's stood the test of time. I still have it and it drives amazing
Agreed. But it will be a significant loss for a big chunk of people since other LLMs aren’t nearly as good as GPT-4.
Spotify is bound to have some really valuable data as to what works, what doesn't and what kind of music people are gravitating towards.
I mean, everyone who isn't a Reddit / X stakeholder will agree that the Fediverse is a good thing.
It's definitely become a part of a lot of people's workflows. I don't think OpenAI can die. But the need of the hour is to find a way to improve efficiency multifold. This will make it cheaper, more powerful and more accessible
I'm pretty confident that 90% of the users' use cases can be fulfilled by Jitsi Meet
I think an already established player like Sync or Boost should provide an experience that hand holds newcomers, by leaving little to guess work.
Boost is essentially the Apollo equivalent of Android. A simple but functional UI. Customisable UI but not ambitious. Well thought out.
I truly hope the Fediverse takes off in a big way.
