Can I interact/follow bluesky user from mastodon? I run mastodon instance, don't want to run bluesky as well.
Got into rolling release very recently with Manjaro (realized Debian doesn't have rolling release). Just started getting used to arch packaging. I wouldn't consider myself knowledgeable in rolling release options
Haven't touched suse ecosystem since they were suse. Now I just feel comfortable with Debian or arch.
Yup saw it recommended in one of the comments as well, I'll look it up.
I was just getting used to using Manjaro for my dev machines due to rolling release. Gotta find new flavor now.
I originally created account on .ml cause it's instance by devs. I will try to see how to switch instance (with all my content)
found it, thanks for pointing it (I use Voyager). I may move instance if it's possible
wait is there problem with .ml ? I've been using this account for more than an year.
Is that the reason I see hexbear
posts (I want to block this instance, but don't think it's possible from account)
Same Dev, different product (name and features) , codebase maybe similar/same.
Using waze voice prompt in osmand
Is it possible? (waze has mp3 files available) - https://github.com/pipeeeeees/waze-voicepack-links
[EDIT] osmand path is : /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/net.osmand.plus/files/voice/en
Going to try replacing some of those files, as long as purpose matches. I'll update this thread.
if I understand correctly there is no way to make FOSS AA (protocol itself is not open unless reverse engineered). There needs to be separate implementation like AA / CarPlay and headunit needs to support it. Current best case scenario is miracast supporting headunits (but this is one directional)
since this is F-Droid community I didn't mention it, but I'm looking for FOSS solutions. My phone is degoogled and doesn't have android auto
Voice assistant and/or car UI
I would like to control few functions while driving. navigation (osmand), play music (multiple apps) are main ones. As of now I think either voice assistant or car UI are 2 options. So are there any apps supporting these?
Yes it just needed guage in tee and regulator needs flow.
absolutely this, life is all good once I used splitter. I can see pressure guage reading 60-65PSI vs 20-25PSI. Thanks a lot for pointing this out
Going to try tee approach as mentioned in other post otherwise considering it defective.
Ah so I misunderstood how to use guage and in general how regulator works. Thanks for mentioning this. Would it work if I use splitter instead of tee ? (I've splitter readily available to test tomorrow)
oh didn't try it with hose, will test it (mostly tomorrow). I don't really want permanent pressure guage, just making sure pressure is good before I install tubing.
oh don't worry about red needle (it's some kind of inertia guage?), it's pushed by black needle as soon as water starts and can be freely moved by dial on top
There is arrow on regulator and pressure guage is downstream (arrow pointing towards it) Also added 2 pics to original post.
I think I connected it correctly but please let me know if I misunderstood it.
There is only one way to connect pressure regulator though (hopefully I'm not attaching in reverse order)
this is the channel I watched (specifically this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4zoMKT0La8)
Trying to understand pressure regulator
[EDIT2] (at top to make sure visibility) All good, as explained in one of the posts. I shouldn't expect pressure regulator to work directly at faucet. (Use tee or splitter) Here is video https://youtu.be/gp4aquT19LA
[Just started looking into drip irrigation] I'm using rainbird 25PSI pressure regulator along with pressure guage. (https://www.amazon.com/Rain-Bird-HT07525PSI-Irrigation-Regulator/dp/B0049C5FZA)
Pressure guage measures about 70PSI without regulator (directly at garden faucet), however this doesn't really change even after using pressure regulator.
Am I misunderstanding pressure regulator? or is guauge/regulator broken?
[EDIT] Here is what I'm talking about (in both cases it reads about 60PSI):
Can steam link run with guest aspect ratio / resolution
I want to access my pc / steamdeck from laptop. All 3 devices have different aspect ratio screens. Is there a way to use steam link with guest (laptop in this case) aspect ratio? Or is there any other solution than steam link?
[EDIT]: I don't game as much, I'm mostly accessing PC / deck (in desktop mode) from laptop. When I'm playing game I generally use actual device.
[EDIT2]: Decided to go with sunshine - moonlight, seems to do everything I was looking for.
How to use different Nominatim on web openstreetmap
I would like to use openstreetmap as replacement for google maps (on web) However default nominatim doesn't generally give correct address (when searched for POI). Is there way to change nominatim provider?
Frame drops after some time of playing division 2
FPS counter at bottom right shows consistent, however game stutters (feels like low FPS).
What can be the causes or how do I start debugging? (Installed ubisoft client through lutris and then added it to steam library)
Mumble instead of discord
I'm trying to get my group to play games with mumble instead of discord.
I see lot of interest and ease of installation around matrix and jitsi, however mumble seems not talked about much.
I am looking for a guide of sort to setup mumble the easy way, i don't want to get new domain and vps and i don't want to open ports in my home router.
I've tailscale/headscale running off site with tunnel to home And i also have matrix server running with traefik.
If anyone have experience in the similar scenario i would like to know
Solo 2C+NFC vs Yubikey 5C NFC
I'm looking to get started with hardware keys. My use case is (to start with): Running vaultwarden instance and would like to lock/unlock vaultwarden with hardware key and vaultwarden takes care of actual password storage
I'm looking at solokeys just because of open source nature, however I didn't find much info about protocol support.
For Yubikey 5C NFC I see following >>Multi-protocol: YubiKey 5 Series is the most versatile security key supporting multiple authentication protocols including FIDO2/WebAuthn (hardware bound passkey), FIDO U2F, Yubico OTP, OATH-TOTP, OATH-HOTP, Smart card (PIV) and OpenPGP.
I don't yet use OTP / PIV etc. Is there a tabular form of comparison between 2? Is there any downside in getting solokeys?
Using Lian Li with OpenRGB
Hi I'm looking at
and looking at products like: https://lian-li.com/product/uni-fan-tl/, https://lian-li.com/product/galahad-ii-lcd/ . However these products are not listed on OpenRGB devices list. Am I correct to assume, if I use https://lian-li.com/product/uni-hub-sl-controller/ (not sure about V2 or V2.5) to connect these fans and AIO - I can use OpenRGB without any issue?
Building with Lian Li abd Linux
I'm currently using system from 2016, planning to upgrade. With current length of GPU, my current case can't accommodate them so need the case as well.
I'm thinking of Lian Li evo XL. however my question is regarding Linux compatibility for all the RGB elements (fans, AIO) etc. Are they well supported (if anyone have an experience)
I'm open to suggestions as well (case and cooling) If Lian Li is not supported.
state of Xprivacy with Android 12/13 ROMs OR alternatives
I've been using android 11 ROM just because I rely on XprivacyLUA. I was wondering if I should switch to any newer android versions and if there are equivalents for xprivacy.
I'm using one plus 7pro currently.
how to upload images to lemmy
I'm using Thunder for an app. Does lemmy allow only links or can I actually upload directly? If upload is allowed, how?
building 1u system
Is there a website that supports pc builder for 1u server? I've supermicro chassis which I'm planning to populate with parts but figuring out parts hasn't been easy since I don't know about compatibility. Mainly looking for PSU, motherboard, CPU, RAM and storage - all these (without GPU) may not need compatibility as much but still good to know
1080 TI vs Rx Vega 64 with Pop OS
I'm getting handed down either 1080TI or Rx Vega 64. 1080TI definitely has better benchmarks however how is experience of them being used on Linux (I use Pop OS)? If Rx Vega provides stable / reliable experience then I would pick that.
[EDIT/UPDATE]: picked up rx vega, pretty good out of the box experience
Using SteamDeck as PC
Is anyone using deck as PC ? Opening Firefox seems very detrimental.
Running top
shows CPU uses almost/beyond 100%. Generally for 2 processes Firefox
and Isolated Web Co
.
Is there some kind of workaround? Or would it be better to just install normal Linux (instead of SteamOS)?
How to mount NFS share
I was suggested to use AutoFS but Steam Deck doesn't have AutoFS installed and changing fstab is not sticking after reboot. If there is option to enable mounting NFS without enabling RW.
Using multiple DE/WM on phone
Can I install multiple DE/WM and switch while logging on or through terminal? I use phosh primarily but want to try plasma and maui.
