Offline Mode Server Security
If I run a server with offline-mode=false, hide-online-players=true and white-list=true, how easy would it be for an attacker to find out which names are whitelisted to join with a whitelisted name? Is it brute-force hard or does the server leak that info somewhere? How to secure an offline mode server against this?
- arstechnica.com Minecraft Movie trailer explores the origins of Steve
Where “anything you can imagine is possible—as long as what you imagine can be built out of blocks.”…
> The first teaser for A Minecraft Movie released in September to some decidedly mixed reactions, particularly concerning the CGI and character design and especially Jason Momoa's hair. And yes, there were many ridiculous memes. We were inclined to give it a chance based on the casting of Momoa and Jack Black. Now the full trailer has dropped, and honestly, odd design choices aside—and they are indeed odd—it looks like a perfectly acceptable fun family film and not much more, albeit very light on actual plot.

hello.. what are some good 1.12.2 modpacks that run on mediocre hardware?
I love modpacks that add a lot of new stuff like biomes etc etc, and really set apart from the game.
Thanks in advance!

I've been really enjoying playing minecraft on the steamdeck and I just realised you can record game play also so here is what I've been working on
I used mods like litematic, item scroller, minihud and carpet (stackable shulkers) it runs really well on the deck... I built all the blocks separately in creative and did the build in survival, it has taken hundreds of hours and still going

Complementary shaders + BetterF3 - How to get both working
Hello everyone!
So I installed BetterF3 using their .jar all-in-one installer and tweaked some of the settings to get my F3 to look how I want it, but after when I installed Complementary Shaders using their all-in-one .jar installer, it created a separate Iris & Sodium option in my minecraft launcher. I didnt think much of it as it is also installing fabric, so I thought my BetterF3 mod in my .minecraft/mods directory would be loaded automatically, but thats not the case.
The game looks amazing with the shader so I want to keep that on, but I also want my nice looking F3 menu back. How can i do that?
Thanks in advance!
P.s. In the image I attached, 1 is the fabric installation made with the BetterF3 installer, and 2 is the one made with the Complementary Shaders installer.

What are good/respectable options these for a remote hosted Vanilla Minecraft server these days?
I was going to go with wisehosting.com after Mumbo Jumbo promoted them with an ad in one of his videos but apparently they're in Estonia and my bank doesnt do business with that country.
I've never had a server in MC before, primarily playing solo but have been going on my friend's realm the past couple months and really enjoying it. My complaint mainly is that realms limits render distance to like 16 or so and I'd like to crank it up to 32 as long as client side lag isn't too bad, and I've been told servers don't have the same cap on render distance as realms. We do like to build largeish amateur xp farms and regular redstone contraptions but shouldn't need something huge that can run Minecraft-in-Minecraft or anything like that.
So yeah, nothing fancy, no mods. Maybe 10 total players most we've ever had online at once was 5. What options are popular and known, inexpensive and reasonably reliable? Figured I'd ask on here rather than troll through old redd*t threads looking for people promoting server hosting. Thanks!

Oasis is an AI generated Minecraft... experience? I wouldn't call it a game but you actually can sort of play it.
Regardless of how you feel about AI, a lot of people have been posting videos about this so you might be interested in seeing it.
Worked on desktop on Chrome, some phones might run it but mine didn't.
