This community is the most important for videogames preservation
Think about it, Linux is the most future-proof OS, not threatened by companies or commercial interests, and the same can be said for Lemmy in the world of decentralized communication for topics of interest.
Without these two things the preservation of video games would be greatly in danger.
If it's so important for preservation and it's supposed to use the strengths of lemmy in the world of decentralized communication, maybe it'd be wise to not host it in lemmy.world and host it somewhere else more fitting instead? lemmy.world has a history of censoring even mere discussion of piracy, which is pretty much the only functional way of archiving and preserving modern videogames at scale.
