It's amazing how often the Israeli military does that. They're all just Mavericks. Loose cannons. Not you know in the heroic kind of way where they defy orders to save their comrades or rescue civilians though. In the commit war crimes type of way.
Can you be more specific? What do you mean by It's amazing how often the Israeli military does that? Are there any other recent instances where they tied people on the hoods of vehicles?
The article states they did stuff like this in the second intifada but were banned from doing so by the Israeli Supreme Court. Although there have been "reports" of similar incidents since then.
You remember when people were confused where ISIS people come from? It is the same for the IDF.
When you tell people they can get citizenship, a home, and some free stuff. People who agree are not normal. People who stay are not normal, and considering morally ethical people would not participate or leave, you end up with immoral, inhumane with latest weapons who are ready to kill their own anytime. These people don’t care because they believe their leaders will protect them and maybe good will reward them.
Now add to that the scum who for 7 or 8 month still giving them the support. I put them in the same level of inhumane, low for of people, losers.
A civilian got shot, likely by Israel. They, strapped him to the hood, prevented the Palestinian ambulances from taking him, drove away and then ditched the guy. So just the Human shield part.
I don't understand how it can be a "human shield". Why doesn't the other truck have a person attached? Why is he positioned in a way that protects very little? Why would they take their human shield to a hospital for treatment?
And, conversely, why are you guys using razor precision on this one incident when Hamas literally, and exclusively, uses human shields and actually targets civilians.
Please don't just say some dumb crap about "hurr it's never good for any side to do this" - please entertain the questions or don't even bother. Your side is as morally bankrupt as it is misinformed. If you feel like *downvoting downloading I'd appreciate a comment as well.
He is positioned the way he is due to the “slatted” design of the humvee grill. Because of that, you’d either have to have them down there or up on the actual hood. You don’t want a human shield squirming on the hood because the humvee sight lines are already bad so if you were the kind of war criminal that’s also practical, this would be where you would put them.
The rest of your questions are horrific. This one is too, but at least there’s an answer.
So everything I'm reading/seeing says there's some facts on this matter:
The IDF said this was a suspected militant injured in a firefight
The IDF gave this person to the Red Crescent
Israel said they're "looking into this matter and will deal with this accordingly
The speculation is that they were using him as a human shield. I, and everyone else for that matter, don't know this for absolute certainty. We can both agree that this is a rather crude way of transporting an injured person at best or a deliberate war crime at worst. Your opinion about the placement is mere speculation and kind of stupid if I'm being honest.
I'll be back later to edit this comment when more facts come out and they charge (or not) this individual(s) with war crimes. I wish I could say the same about the other side and the people that support them.
My final comment is agnostic to all the liberal and delusional fuckwads. This war is real. And terrorism must be defeated. Take up arms and fight. Look around you. The west has been brainwashed by the media, but they don't live your life. You alone hold the power.
do you defeat terrorism by terrorizing an entire group of people into becoming terrorists themselves? Is that how you defeat terrorism? you fucking clown?
Have you ever fought in a war? Because if you haven't, then you really can't understand the decisions that warfighters make in the moment.
That's the problem with most of these people. You all seem to think that when you're actively engaged in a conflict you'll exercise a degree of judgement that exists in a completely different world.
And if you haven't fought in a conflict and tried to save the very person that's shot at you, then you have absolutely no room to judge.
I've served for 18 years in several conflicts. And I always operate in a manner that ensures that I come home every night to my family. So yeah, I don't blame those guys for strapping that asshat to the hood.
You have no right to judge these people for operating in a warzone and SAVING LIVES OF THEIR ADVERSARY if you haven't looked the guy who is trying to kill you in the face.
So fuck all of you for assuming that strapping a murderer to a hood to transport them to medical is somehow inhumane.
Fight a war, watch children die, and then come at me with your laughable morals. That guy was lucky someone strapped him up. Because I would have killed him. And I would expect that if you saw a 6 year old get ragdolled across concrete and then scooped her brains up so her father could give her a a funeral, you'd think differently too. But you sit here behind your keyboard and judged like some sort of moral authority.
I'm speaking from literal personal experience. Hand a father his child's brains. Then look me in the eye and tell me that strapping the responsible murderer to a hood and transporting him to a hospital is an immoral decision. You can't. But you can insult and disparage the Israeli soldiers like you somehow have the high ground. You all have absolutely no idea what is happening on the ground if you haven't been there.. but you all circle jerk in your own little echo chamber.
So, which order did they violate, according to the Israeli leadership? Trying to give the guy medical attention?
I especially liked your comment further down, though, about how you immediately characterize the guy, in civilian, strapped to the hood of a jeep like a fucking trophy deer, as "a murderer." You've got shit-all knowledge about this person; they could have been a journalist, a medic, but since it's Israeli soldiers driving the jeep, he's immediately a "murderer."
