Well here's Democrats working on it it at both the Federal and State level. So your statement is at best incomplete.
At the Federal level:
Started effort in 2015: Democrats introduce bill to hike federal minimum wage to $15 per hour
Started effort In 2023: Democrats push for $17 minimum wage by 2028
At the state level:
Minimum wage bills pushed by Democrats in at least 30 states, including Utah

we needed $17 an hour a decade ago and by 2028 it will be like this all over again with needing it raised again
