Dentists are pulling ‘healthy’ and treatable teeth to profit from implants, experts warn

Hasn't this been normal since the 70s? I've heard stories from a bunch of people that dentists pulling out perfectly good teeth was an "epidemic" that has caused a bunch of damage.
