imho, the funniest/most difficult choices are not in character creation, but in roleplaying. make stupid choices outside combat. steal everything. steal nothing. murder everyone. murder as few as possible. talk to nobody. always go in disguise. don't recruit anyone to your party. etc etc
I did a run as a wild magic sorcerer with the feywild ring that makes your magic surge happen 100% of the time modded into act 1 and that was wild for RP. I basically played him as magic incarnate barely able to contain himself. Made for some interesting times when I'd forget that tides of chaos was active and use mage armor while standing in the grove or some other dumb thing. Kagha was not fond of being randomly turned into a dog.
that sounds extremely funny! i find it pretty tough making imperfect choices in BG3, my gamer brain wants to play it "correctly", it's easier at the real table with dnd
One of my games im playing a sasuage knight. Warrior3/Bararian6. You pick eldeich knight for the bound weapon and grab spirit animals for the barb. At lvl6 barb, pick the aspect of the chimpanze to blind tagrgets when you throw camping supplies at them. The rest is a standard throwing build but your primary weapon is the sasuage link that doubles as a basic club.
