Completely pointless story because we just had a laugh about it.
Me and my wife met online. Were long distance for about two years before things aligned where we could meet in person.
She flies halfway across the country to meet me. I pick her up, and I have a cd playing with my "chill on the road So I don't shoot people" favorites.
She gets in the car, we pull out, and "lucky" by bif naked starts playing. That becomes our song.
A year or so passes, we get married. It's not a thing, because we don't like big things. Just us and witnesses at the JoP.
A few days later, we're fucking around, having fun, and get talking about what kind of wedding we'd have if we were into that kind of thing.
She eventually asks, "if there were no limits, what band would you have at our wedding?"
No thinking, no hesitation, I say "amon amarth".
My wife, knowing me, waits a beat before saying, "okay, I can see that, but why?"
"Because I want to hear Johan Hegg growl Lucky"
I know, not at all interesting to anyone else, but if anyone knows the man, and could convince him to cover that song, I would kill to be able to play that at our next anniversary :)
