I am Zach, AKA AceFuzzLord, AKA Dizzy Devil Ducky!
I heard his AG has plans to send in the military to take away your guns! For your safety!
Heard about something about how his AG pick potentially making it so at least people must register their guns. No idea how true or if it's gonna happen, but I imagine that alone would be enough to make a lot of his voters super angry.
I would absolutely be a seeder if my router didn't reset itself in the middle of the night. That, and I'd be worried about getting caught by my ISP, even with my VPN.
Regardless, these people are the real heroes.
You say that as a joke, but that is exactly how I figured out it exists.
On and off for over a decade I've played the original Borderlands on xbox360, so definitely that.
Fair enough.
At least I was correct that the red one was some form of BSD. Gonna have to look up plan9, though. Don't think I've heard of that one.
I'm pretty sure I understand what the red one is, but what's the other supposed to represent?
Give it a few more years and it will probably be over there. I don't know whether it's an ongoing thing or what since I haven't kept up with it, but there is/was(?) a case of some Springer Verlag trying to say that an ad blocker violates copyright law, going after Eyeo/Adblocker Plus.
My memory has been somewhat blurry/fuzzy since 2011, so yeah. After coming out from a surgery where I was under longer than the surgeons thought I was gonna, it's been a bit fuzzy. I can remember things from a long time ago, but ask me pre-2011, middle of tweenhood and below, is hit or miss what I remember. Even after then, it can sometimes feel a little hit or miss whether I remember an event that happened.
Fire at a nearby apartment building a couple years ago? Remember. The song I was listening to 10 minutes ago? Absolutely no clue. Name of someone in my ENGL 101 class I've been attending all quarter? No clue for almost all of them. The time my parents got a Sonic Mega Collection game for me and my brothers when I was 4-5 years old? Absolutely remember that!
Back when this whole API thing happened, I didn't bother because I knew that almost nobody would listen to me as my account was fairly young and only had a small amount of that karma bullshit.
I left because I do a lot in my power to avoid seeing ads on sites/apps. Also, when I heard that it would cost a prohibitively expensive amount for a certain app (don't remember which) to use the API and heard that unofficial mod tools for things like helping people with sight disabilities mod were gonna disappear, I dipped because I cannot support that type of stuff.
One thing I've never understood is devs making a game that is 100% intended to be difficult to complete and then some people come along to said game that has essentially been advertised as a hard game and complaining it's too hard and an easy mode should be implemented for them.
Not every game needs an easy mode and I fully support the idea that devs shouldn't have to put in an easy mode because people think a game is too hard. Especially if it's a souls game. They've never been easy and hopefully never will be.
They acknowledge the whole thing of people looking up things on their phone like maybe guides, but I ask how is their solution any better?
The game is probably already paused if you're looking at a guide and most everyone always has their phone on hand and are able to quickly look something up. To me this looks like them trying to sell a solution that has already been solved over a decade ago by repackaging it as something brand new.
And then after 5 years (probably less because FCC will stop looking at them the second the browser is gone) they'll just make chrome under a new name and then do everything in their power to for what is essentially chrome 2.0 onto everyone, with the caveat that it will block every other browser from working. You know, just to make up for lost time.
I've never had a microwave where the popcorn button doesn't burn it, so no.
A mouse would not invent a mousetrap
I guarantee if mice and rats were smart enough they would make things like mousetraps to harm the mice/rats they don't like.
Currently, at least for the windows version, you need to be part of the patreon if you don't want to have to build from source. Right now I can get on my desktop and load Strawberry (which I got before this started happening) and it'll tell me there's an update for the windows version, the one I have because my desktop currently runs win10. If I click the button to update, it'll take me to their patreon account and ask me to support them if I want the precompiled update.
I'd build from source on windows, but that sounds like a nightmare, so I just haven't been able to update.
As someone who didn't have a PSP back then or even now, I'll take your word on it.
Minor warning about Strawberry Music Player:
If you are looking for a completely free local music player on windows or mac without paying, I'd skip this because both versions are tied to patreon last I checked. I know as a fact the windows version is, but not 100% sure on the mac version since I don't have a mac.
I personally think it's good enough if you feel like paying for it so they can keep developing it, but it's good to keep this kinda stuff in mind.
I mostly use this on my desktop running win10, but GridPlayer for playing shows off an external hard drive.
At one point had it on my laptop running a Debian based OS, but I must have uninstalled/removed it somehow because I couldn't find it a few days ago when I needed it. Thankfully I found an appimage as I couldn't find it in the repos. And as I am writing this comment, I checked to see if it was available through flatpak and it is.
Love it because I can have my shows take up the full program area and stay that way when I change program resolution. I try that with other programs and it either doesn't fit the whole program area or doesn't take up the area when I change program size.
Only thing I wouldn't really recommend it for is shows with subtitles since I have yet to figure out if it even supports subtitle files. Couldn't watch the latest season of a show on it and had to switch to VLC because of that.
Design wise, absolutely peaked in the 90s/2000s. Now everything looks like a copy of each other with uninspired designs across the board.
In terms of what it has to offer, I personally don't think so. Couldn't imagine going back 10-20 years ago and not having a device like my Steam Deck that can play computer games on the go (laptop not included since when are you realistically pulling out a laptop on a drive when heading out for errands?) or having a laptop not as thin as my current laptop or even just the touchscreen feature. I also couldn't imagine going back 20 years ago and not having a 1 or 2 TB portable external hard drive (or if they were out, being a lot more expensive than now).
eBay out here with the best shipping options ever!
Item was $4.50 for a used CD and checkout surprised me with this incredible deal! How could I say no to adding $99.99 on to the total?!?! /s
How does ripping a CD/DVD work exactly? Is it similar to copying or does it leave the CD/DVD unusable?
I've never ripped CDs or DVDs before for any reason and am curious how this works since I have some stuff I wanna see about backing up but am nervous about ruining the disc. I've tried looking this up, but every time I do, I obviously am searching for the wrong thing because I have never found the info I'm looking for.
Bluetooth Help (MX Linux Plasma, kernel 6.1.0-13)
Linux noob. Just got a pair of Skull Candy Push Active XT bluetooth earbuds. They pair just fine with my setup but no sound comes through them. I found many different posts on various forums and nothing helped.
Using the inxi command I pulled some info I think might help, if it's needed. (I don't know if any of this is needed to help fix this issue. I've only been using MX for a little over a week and have never really done a lot of under the hood Linux maintenance before, but am more than willing to learn to fix this issue). If there is sny other information needed, I'm willing to edit this with any of that information, if I can find it.
