Thank you.
Are there any apps that you'd like to recommend?
I have Collabora office installed. It's very good.
I've only ever had a small inconvenience with it, that I was not able to make x vs y charts. Maybe someone here knows any settings or solution for that?
I've also heard about Only Office.
https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/DesktopEditors
Cool. What is it like?
Is it like finding a optimized solution?
Cool. Thank you.
Is the process like vernalisation?
Thank you.
Learned a lot and noticed that many ideas and mental images about it were bullshit.
What were the main ones?
Some relatives of mine have been thinking about rooftop solar and had talked about it to me too. Didn't comment much, other than generic talking points of warranty, on whether is on or off-grid etc.
Thank you.
Thank you
Do you do any simple experiments? Or track things and analyse them?
Recently downloaded the phyphox from F-Droid and thought about this while thinking about what all stuff I could do with it.
Are there any online resources about such stuff?
What all things have you(or people you know, in your locality etc) done along that line? And not only big thigs, if you're tracking other stuff, please do share your experience on that too.
Edit: Sharing the github page of the app too: https://github.com/phyphox/phyphox-android
Hotspot security (WPA2, WPA2/WPA3, WPA3), which one is the best/fastest?
Have searched about it on the net and have seen that WPA2/WPA3 is recommended, in the case of older devices n IoT. I normally use the hotspot to share internet to other devices. They're not too old and I don't use IoT devices.
Would choosing WPA3 be better/faster for my case? Did not see much info on that or benchmarks about it? Saw somewhere that WPA3 has more overhead because of greater encryption, but would plain WPA3 be better than the default WPA2/WPA3?
Thanks in advance
How does the app compare it to Jerboa, Voyager, Eternity etc?
Thank you
Thank you
Yep.
Are there any communities along the topic of practical DIY, 'Today/Recently I learnt to do''?
Not just asking about lemmy communites(would be cool if there is one), but other websites, forums etc.
If you know any good youtube channels, please share them too. When I searched for stuff, it's mostly 5 min craft stuff.
Actionable stuff that most people would benefit from, the simpler/easier, the better.
I agree.
I don't have issues with that too.
But I do want and wish to share/use more copyleft memes.
What is that reason?
If there is proof that she is a Russian asset, why did the Democrats not oppose here and use legal measures against it?
Aah. Have you noticed any copyleft memes?
Aah. Are memes deemed ok under fair use?
Has there been any previous case where any country has mentioned that?
Are there any famous creative commons or copyleft meme templates?
Meme templates that are made from material that is licensed under creative commons or other copyleeft licenses?
Are there any communities or websites that collect/list them?
What in the samhill
Reminded me of the Lois and Clark series
Are there any websites similar to instagram, but don't ask a viewer to sign in to view content.
Nitter has helped with Twitter(formally X).
Fb and insta usage is low because there are no nice frontends.
Thank you.
Which all forums do you like the most or find most useful/fun?
Thank you
Where/How do you find random new information that maybe useful?
Both about a new topic or a topic that you already are interested in.
There are TIL communities here on lemmy and they are good, but mostly not about using the info to do things.
Any websites, rss feeds, youtube channels, lemmy(or other site) communities etc. that you subscribe to for that? And going beyond online stuff, any books or publications or groups that you like?
Thousands of worshippers held offerings to the sun god standing waist-deep in the river, while some bathed in the polluted waters.
Do you exercise your neck? Which all exercises do you use? Are there any other exercises that would be good to know about?
Started isometrics where I push against the sides of my heads and resisting it. And also turning the head side to side. I think its good. Feels nice, especially after looking at pc/mobile screens for some time.
Are there any exercises for other parts of the body, that we don't normally think about?
What is a recent(or maybe significant) thing that you learnt to do(or taught someone else to do) that was pretty good and think more people should know of or try out?
Recently started using mail merge. Combined it with some vba scripting(didn't learn it well, just found some scripts on the net and modified them a bit) so that I could get pdf files for emailing by clicking a macro button from an excel sheet.
Also, go to use the info about the keyboard mouse right click button when someone's Right Mouse Button was not working. https://www.online-tech-tips.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Windows-Right-Click-Button.jpg
I mentioned only computer things because of recency, but please do share your experiences in other topics too.
Do you workout/train/exercise? Could you share what/how your routine(and food/rest too) is like?
Started doing simple dumbbell exercises recently and was curious about what others are doing. Been trying simple neck exercises too. No weights, just chintucks and isometrics.
Please do share your experience/suggestions/opinions on the it and related topics like sports, calisthenics, general physical health etc.
Do you know any exercises that are rare? Or ones that seem special to your locality?
Regarding food: How do you meet your protein or calorie goals? How do you track it? Especially food that is local to your place.
On a tangent: Are there cool plants that are less known or that'd be useful if more people tried growing and including them in their diets? Do mention your locality or climate of the plant.
How do you solve/deal with procrastination?
I do get things done. But sometimes I think that I could have started some things early, avoid rush. Also a sort-of negative perfectionism that does the opposite, where I end up delaying the start while thinking about the best time to start and how to avoid possible trouble etc.
How do you categorise and adjust accordingly about such stuff? If you are someone who got out of or reduced such behaviour(or helped someone to do that), what were the things that you/they did? How did you/they start out and progress etc.
Thanks in advance
Are people less aware of the Munich agreement compared to the Molotov–Ribbentrop agreement? And also about the Bengal famine? In your opinion, what other events seem to be less known?

Recently got banned in a community when I brought it up, when they talked about the latter.
I'm Indian, didn't really have to read too much(on such treaties and other stuff. We do learn about the dates, major groups involved and our own people) about WW1 and WW2 before getting on the internet forums. But how is it in Western countries?
Also, is the Bengal famine of 1943 taught? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bengal_famine_of_1943 I only got the gravity of the situation after reading about it and seeing pictures on the net.
Are there any other events that should be more known by others, in your opinion?
I hope this is not too political. If it is, do forgive me, I'll delete this.
Edit: Recently read about the Travancore famine of 1943, that killed around 90,000 people. It happened in my state, Kerala. But I never really knew about it.

Any good foss image/video/audio editor apps?
Apps that I know:
- For images - Pocketpaint, Freepaint Fossify Gallery has a basic editor with draw, crop and filters. Tux paint is also nice to draw stuff.
- For video
- Video transcoder allows basic cutting of audio n video.
- Saw an app called Bunny media editor, that allowed basic image and video cropping and cutting.
- I've also heard that some people use Termux for it
Are there other apps like these? Which all apps do you use to edit images/videos and make memes etc?
The rape and murder of a female doctor in India highlight the violence against healthcare workers.
Anyone know any FOSS measuring apps?
One that use the camera to give an approximate distance between two objects?
Tape measure has some features, but needs a known reference object in the same plane. And most of the predefined objects are not common where I live. It does have an option to define custom reference objects.
But are there any apps that do not need a reference object?
Thanks in advance.
What are some things(or ways) that you use to save time or get things done efficiently? Especially things that would be useful for many and are currently less popular.

> * I have recently started using RSS feeds to get news and other information. It is quite time-saving. > * Recently found out that word could open pdfs for edits. Used to upload pdfs to websites to get it converted into some editable format. I think Libreoffice can do the same. > * Got that spinning type of mop and mopping has become a bit easier.
