There's no serious scientist who believes in direct air carbon capture.
There's not enough resources in the world to keep our current economic output while also switching to renewables.
Well, you're wrong. For example in France almost all electricity comes from mix of nuclear and renewable sources.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electricity_sector_in_France
Around 70% nuclear, 11% hydro and only like 7,5% from fossil (rest are solar, wind and biomass)
Switching transportation to electric is much more difficult but it's happening. 10 years ago, electric cars just weren't a thing.
To the energy requirements of our economy? I beg to fucking differ.
Well, yes - because energy can be produced from renewable sources. It isn't fault of general economy, that the energy sector produces lots of CO2.
The solution isn't to scale down economy, its to replace fossil fuels with nuclear and renewables
Well, I guess the droughts are their own fault, then, or what?
What???
Climate is a separate issue. You can supply green energy, nuclear, or burn fossil fuels. Say what you want, but as far as energy production goes, free market keeps delivering since decades.
And it just happens, that regions suffering from the biggest fresh water deficit also happen to have good conditions for solar energy production.
that demand will exceed supply
You think in terms of fixed supply and fixed manufacturing capacity - but this isn't the case. Production can be expanded as demand grows
Where are you gonna get the energy to desalinate water from?
From the same sources as with the energy needed to manufacture everything else. The demand for electricity has grown year by year for decades, and we haven't run out of it.
What about areas that are thousands of kilometres from the ocean?
Regular logistics as with any other good
the more expensive it gets, the less people can afford it
You know, all these arguments avoid answering the question about how much more expensive water could be. And I suspect the general answer is: not much. Mass producing fresh water is well understood process. It's also a potential source of sodium for sodium-ion batteries, cheaper alternative to lithium-ion.
And then there's the fact that desalination is a huge environmental disaster.
I'm fully aware of that - what's missing there is proper regulation by local governments, preventing excess salinity of water dumped back to the ocean
"Running out of fresh water" narration is a complete lie. I don't know why, but these articles are implying its like oil that will run out some day. No, fresh water is a manufacturable good. Worst case scenario it gets more expensive as more of it needs to be produced out of salt water ect.
Fundamental flaw of the democracy: It assumes that people know what's the best for them
76 million racist adolf hitlers, it's worse than I thought!
Well since majority voted Trump for president, you obviously now live in the 4th Reich
Not interested unless it includes 120mm armor piercing tungsten penetrator. Preferably NATO standard
Nah, this is somewhat of exaggeration. You still work within the legal framework.
It's true that with money comes power, but it's not a god mode.
Can you link the direct source - like, statement of german police or official press conference?
I've spent some time looking into this and found no direct sources.
BTW, these articles are copypaste - There were bunch of much older (2023?) ones which I also failed to find any credible source for.
EDIT: Correction, the first articles about this came out 3 months ago
The part about Zelenski ordering sabotage while drunk has both no source and is utterly ridiculous.
Thst story is completely fake - it has no source.
There's nothing dehumanizing in it. If you crossed the border illegally, then you're illegal [immigrant].
Plain and simple. No hidden context here
Since when are illegals the only people who don't speak English?
Jesus he used a hyperbole. Is this too subtle?
Since when deporting illegals is racist?
It's not a rocket science - if you accept immigrants from regions of high crime you'll inevitably import criminals along with them.
As for terrorism, how many tereorist acts came from radical christians vs how many from radical muslims?

Playing #blackmythwukong since yesterday. Wonderful game. Too bad they placed horribly difficult boss at the very start. I suggest looking into guides about defeating it.

On the tehnical note, it's one of the very few games where FSR frame gen does a pretty good job without input lag causing too many issues
