The mexican made ford's are less reliable most times. No loss there. They should be us built anyhow.
No one should buy any vehicle made by stellantis. I can't believe that company keeps thriving away.
I liked my lcd one, but the oled is nicer by a bit (i upgraded right away :-/ ). I'm guessing summer 2026 will be the next deck.
Fyi: hunter call of the wild does run well on the deck. It's quasi realistic and quite peaceful hunting game that very gradually unlocks less realistic stuff to make hunting and tracking easier.
Thanks. Yeah, my best friend is now retired air force. I was going to join myself but I'm mostly deaf in my left ear so they weren't going to allow me to do a lot of the things I was interested in doing.
Due to it being a right handed world, most lefties are much better at using their non dominant hand for things. I can operate power tools, golf putt, easily drive a stick shift in any country, and do all sorts of things with my dominant or non dominant hand. Sometimes if I'm doing something that's making my hand or arm tired, I'll just do it with the other. Sure, it's not as good as using my left hand, but it still gets the job done.
Bonus points when playing pickleball or table tennis or tennis or whatever and I switch hands to reach and hit an otherwise out of reach ball in just the nick of time.
Seems that doesn't work quite as well in tennis, where pretty much all the time 15 to 25% of the top 100 ranked players are left handed.
I'm all for taxing the rich and universal Healthcare. As for money, it sadly won't ever happen in my timeframe. Been a firefighter and emt for over 15 years. The public wants their taxes low. If I were making 74k I'd practically feel like a millionaire.
The shady part is that most people who get bothered for sleeping in their cars is because they're doing it somewhere on private property.
Other than that, fully agree.
Yeah, must be great to be white collar. It took me loads of training and certifications and ongoing certs to make far less.
Thing is, corporations will and have always tried making as much as possible. That isn't Warren's fault. He just didn't do anything to fix it. The reason he and all these other billionaires can do this is because our shit government has undone taxes on the wealthy for the past 65 years. Our crooked government is to blame for the massive disparity. Not the guy who threw money at company's he thought would continue to prosper. He's just a symptom if he wasn't involved with paying off and bribing the government. No idea if he has or not, there.
Says who? Who decided that free speech got an asterisk? Who makes and enforces the rules and limitations?
That's free speech with an asterisk. It also means you have this big gray area and someone policing and deciding what is and isn't hate speech, so you won't ever see completely free speech thoughts from everyone.
You can't have your cake, and eat it too. Having rules against what can be said or talked about means you're in a bubble, for better or worse.
Yeah....rail workers average $74k a year and get 30 days vacation a year. What do you get?
*Edit:Also, I did a bit of digging. He does now own one railroad company. He only got it 14 years ago. He didn't make his money as one of the railroad tycoons.
None of that is Warren Buffet. You can't just say all stock holders are evil thieves. Stock holders are the reason many of those businesses exist.
Side note: did you actually know how much the rail workers were already being paid before the strike? It was better than most jobs by a fair amount. They didn't have sick time because it was already previously negotiated away for other things in a previous contract.
Did he use his money to change tax laws? He didn't create the crooked tax system. You aren't going out of your way to pay more, either.
He had nothing to do with stealing it, though. I had stock in AMD for a while and it made some money. Did that make the people at amd poor? In that company's case they would have filed for bankruptcy over 15 years ago. Investors kept the business alive. Same for Apple in the 90's.
Yes, all most really care about is making money, but that doesn't change if there is or isn't a stock market.
How did he take 100 from me, though? If I bought shares of Intel and made $100, how is it that I took it from you?
How did he ruin lives? Didn't he mostly make his money playing stocks and investing in stuff?
Sort of. That was more of an oversight from a half assed patent filing based on a little known 3d printing process that shouldn't have been approved and is still up for challenge. That isn't likely to happen with H.264. I'd go as far to say that it couldn't happen with it.
A caveat. In your scenario, there is apparently only one widget maker in each country and they have a monopoly?
If widgets could be made in the US for $7 and sustainably priced at $9 to be a viable business, then they wouldn't be selling them for $16.99, because ten other US businesses would start up selling widgets for less.
Tariffs don't work for everything, but how many jobs in the US are in making something? What would you have of them? Because in the US you need like $25 an hour to make a living and we have health and safety implementations and labor laws. China pays their employees $2 an hour. They can undercut anything we could make in the US.
1TB OLED left touch pad has issues clicking down.
Just curious if anyone else has had issues with their track pads on the OLED models.
My left side touch pad doesn't "depress" down at all in the middle, and requires much more force around the sides to depress down and "click". If you go by the haptic pressure measurement, the right side will click at around 3,000 anywhere on the pad,, but the left side takes about 10,000 around the edges and never does in the middle.
06 tribute manual transmission clutch hard to press.
All of a sudden my clutch went from totally normal to very hard to press down. It's now been this way for quite a long time. It's a hydraulic clutch (clutch was replaced by a shop a few months prior to the issue, but me and the shop....did not get along.) in an 06 tribute with a 4 cylinder motor.
Looking for what I'll need done in order to not have to break my leg to shift the thing. Thanks.
I figure it's something the shop didn't do correctly, as it was supposed to have new flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc, pilot bearing and throw-out bearing but there's no way to verify they replaced it all or did it correctly and the problem started suddenly about 3 months later.
