Just a little bit of trolling
  • It's hyperbole. I don't think you can die from consuming them (don't quote me on that, guess it depends on dosage).

I would think you get a bad tummy ache when eating them raw and maybe liver damage and/or a nutritional deficiency long-term.

Bread might get hot enough to break down the tannins. I just always thought beechnuts taste better ;)

  • Windows 11's big 2024 update leaves behind ~9GB of undeletable files
  • Plasma 6.2

This is a really great release. Since the KDE Gear and Framework update yesterday all gripes I experienced with the Plasma 6 Megarelease are fixed.

Everytime I get a KDE update I am looking forward to trying new cool stuff.
Every Patch Tuesday I get an overwhelming feeling of dread.

  • typical german overengineering
  • It's also pretty fast at about 2000 rpm in burst mode. If they hadn't used caseless ammo this would have been a really reliable gun.

Loading it by turning the fold out knob is a bit wonky though. No satisfying chambering clanks like with the M14 or G3. Probably a plus in real combat.

It's not even that caseless. The bullets sit in a rectangular box that contains the primer, propellant and a plastic cap to center it. The ammo really is the worst part of that thing.

  • These are the Game of the Year frontrunners
  • Other than being a nostalgia-reference filled and well put together time waster it's not that special. It's very inoffensive and it runs well. Maybe that is enough for most people to indulge and enjoy.

I don't think it GOTY material but I don't hate it. It's certainly fun and has tons of cute details.

  • I am currently somewhat addicted to The X-Com Files. It's a mod for OpenXCom which in turn is a port of the original 1993 X-Com. It's fucking brilliant (and free).

Before that I played a campaign of Starsector. I also liked Gris and Dredge earlier.

  • I don't know which I despise more: sleazy ubi suits or the cockroaches that finance those ubi suits.

Fucking sucks that you can't just buy from a dev studio directly. So only indie games on GOG for me... Haven't had that much fun in quite a while. And no longer need to upgrade my PC.
