Could be. Grateful and understanding does describe my two trans friends. However they we friends before they transitioned. So the relationship was established and they knew I cared about them.
I knew one for ten years before they transitioned. So yeah I try not to dead name them but it takes time to adjust. For me it took about 2 years before I didn't think of their old name and have to adjust it before speaking.
I was talking about them with a mutual friend at a party. Someone I don't know yells at me from across the room "we don't use that name here." I'm better friends with them then you and you just made the entire party aware of their status.
Maybe it's just the people who make it a big deal publicly and like to challenge people. They tend to be the most noticeable in the community.
Yeah I support trans rights. If you are consistent I'll use your preferred pronouns. I don't care what bathroom people use. Health care is between you and your doctor. I only care about what genitals you have if we are going to be doing things with each others genitals.
That said so many trans people are complete assholes about it. I'm on your side but fuck so many of you are annoying jerks.
I remember when gays started coming out of the closet and they handled it better. Polite but firm about being treated fairly. The trans community is making more foes then friends the way they are acting.
Director said he had a dream about being chased down a hallway by a flying mirror ball. He built the rest of the movie around that idea.
My C++ programming teacher warned me about this.
If you want a truly strange experience watch Zero Hour. Airplane was a almost scene for scene remake but Zero Hour was a serious drama where Airplane was a hilarious comedy.
To be fair those were popularized in a restaurant in Buffalo NY. Similar to New York cheesecake.
Lord of Light is pretty neat. He wrote it so it could be read as either a scifi story or a fantasy story.
“The fit hit the Shan” was one of the few times I laughed out loud reading a book.
I voted against this.
A mediocre candidate who lost the 2020 primary badly and only got the VP spot because she was buddies with Bidens dead son. She them went on to lose badly to Trump.
I voted for her but it was really a vote for Not Trump. Hopefully this the last we hear of her.
The first 1/3 of that game is amazing.
Haven't people been warning for years china was selling telecom backbone equipment at a loss. Probably so they would have their equipment with their backdoors in most of the world.
He wasn't though. That's a bit of a cultural myth like "Beam me up Scotty." Watch the show and you will see he clearly has emotion he just doesn't let them control him.
His joy when he learns he didn't kill Kirk. His enjoying verbal sparring with Mccoy. The spores removing his control. The look on his face when something strange and new is on the view screen.
Yeah apprentice hasn't been seen in a while. Last time I remember seeing him was when the virgin city got destroyed. (True slut adventures doesn't count)
I think pon far is just when they get super horney every 4 years.
Side note the AI summary for Kolinahr has what I hope is a mistake.
Kolinahr It is the Vulcan ritual that is to purge all remaining emotion. It's a ritual in which a Vulcan male shaves his balls for the first time.
Sure. My problem with the writing is they write him like he doesn't understand emotions having never had the them. When it should be the opposite.
He should be more like an alcoholic who doesn't drink anymore. Still understands what it's like to be drunk or hungover.
So about point 3. Vulcans are more emotional. So much so they have to constantly control them. Being human should make it eaiser not harder.
Picard doesn't have many flaws but the writing doesn't usually make him the main character. TNG is more a problem solving show than a character drama. When they have character drama it's usually the B story.
When we do have a Picard centered episode they usually remove him from the rest of the crew. So you could say his main weakness is dependency on a crew. (Diehard in space doesn't count)
