Congratulations. You played yourself.
Hahahaha... Oh, wait. Ah, fuck! 😞
What do you mean by "right"?
A "right" is guaranteed to us by our government*. People can be shitty to other people because they are also shitty people. Sometimes, there are consequences. Sometimes there are not. But, the government has a mandate they are not allowed to ignore. People can ignore that mandate if they feel they won't face any repercussions.
Do you want to say "duty"?
People have a moral obligation to be respectful to others. No judge or prosecutor or policeman is going to enforce that upon another citizen.**
*It's taken, not given.
**Edge cases exist
YMMV
This is exactly the kind of humor I need today! Thank you.

Such a beautiful image! Thanks for sharing.
Nicely done!
I should not have clicked that. Thankfully, I'm going to kill some brain cells soon. So, I'm gonna 100% forget it! 😁
There's this artist Jesse Welles who pivoted away from his electric rock band to acoustic protest stuff. Is this what you're looking for?
I'm getting them a few nice cast iron cookware pieces to replace the ones their ex-partner stole. A few pieces are from Lodge, so they're very inexpensive, but great quality.
Oohh! I had to look that up. Thanks for the wild trip!
Is this an homage to a Pearls Before Swine strip?
Oi. Now, I gotta go find that one or I'll go crazy.
I see what you did there. And, I like it!
This is wonderfully helpful! I appreciate you.
Yo! Great find!
Where Can I Get a Good Set of Cast Iron Cookware?
Edit: Thank you, everyone, for providing such great information! Truly, thank you!
I'm looking to buy someone a set of good cookware. Hopefully, I'll have them to gift in time for Christmas. My kitchen consists of a pot, pan, and a rice cooker (probably all from Big Lots or something), so I'm in over my head here.
In talking to people IRL, I've been told Amazon is not a good place for a quality set - which I believe based on mixed reviews of my recent purchases and my own lack of knowledge on what makes a good set. I was also told to search antique stores and consignment shops for pieces. So, I'm doing that without much luck as, again, I'm just out of my depth and it's possible it will take much longer to find enough pieces to make a complete set (between 5 and 9-ish).
Does anyone have recommendations for what I should look for in a good pot/pan? Or, what are some solid brands that someone who loves to cook would be proud to own?
I'm not sure what is a good budget. Is anywhere between 500 and 1000 USD a good start?
Thanks for any advice you can give.
Are We Still Having Issues Viewing Age-Restricted Videos?

I'm on 0.27.2 on an Android phone. When I try to view the movie in a web browser or via LibreTube, I get a message that this movie is age-restricted. Just wanna make sure it's not something that's broken for everyone.
Thanks!

It's a movie that I watched. That's about all I can say. Well, that and it has Gabe Kaplan who played Mr. Kotter in Welcome Back, Kotter - a show I loved as a child.
Enjoy!
Is anyone else having issues again playing YT vids through NP or is it just me? TIA

I'm using v0.27.1 downloaded from GitHub. I threw Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love as an example URL. Thought it might ease the pain of YT mucking up NP again.
Is there a website similar to the now-defunct RedFizzcom?
That site allowed musicians to create and upload music and then other musicians could rate, critique, and collaborate on said music. You could even download tunes and I've got SO much great music still on my phone from those artists. And, it was a fun, supportive community.
I apologize for spamming all the Ask Lemmy communities. I can delete if desired. Or, post in a more appropriate community.

Looking to Purchase a Possible King Cleveland 615
I want to purchase another tenor as I've given up on my Bundy and my other will be in the shop for a good while. I found a sax that looks... serviceable? And, it could be the tone I want. But, the stenciling and serial 733XXX kinda makes me believe this isn't a true King Cleveland 615. Maybe one of you have more insight into the history and artistry of these? Is this what the seller says it is? (I might could get more pics if needed.)
If this instrument is what the seller says it is, I'll probably pull the trigger and give it some serious TLC once my other instrument is back in playing shape.
Thanks, all!
A recent U.S. Supreme Court decision helps define the legal status of transportation workers at companies that are not primarily involved in transportation. The post Supreme Court: Drivers hauling baked goods are in transportation, not baking appeared first on FreightWaves.
But the Supreme Court’s April 12 ruling that they are in the transportation business opens the door for them to take the dispute to court.
That’s because the FAA — in its very first section — exempts from its mandate several types of workers, such as railroad employees and “any other class of workers engaged in foreign or interstate commerce.”

Because only women are worried about becoming step-parents? (This prolly could've been an Ask Lemmy.)
I'm looking for some good reading on how to, eventually, best help be a step parent to my partner's children and NEARLY ALL books are geared toward the woman's perspective as though men don't want to be a strong teacher and develop these kids into healthy adults. Ugh!
Thanks for listening to my rant.

Good Ideas for On-stage Crib Notes
I've got, like, a bit over a week to learn 6 songs before I sit in with a metal band who asked me to sit in. I don't want to take my tablet on stage with me because, IMO, it would look a little too unprofessional for these guys to have their bassist with a tablet on a stand just hanging out. (Maybe in a pinch I could put the tablet on the floor?) Does anyone have an idea for crib notes that are pretty well hidden? In my head I'm thinking something like what marching bands use or a wrist band like an NFL quarterback might use.
Thank you in advance.

About 3-6 inches of snow possible in New Hampshire for Tuesday; snow to fall lightly throughout day
Tonight will be fair and cold early with increasing clouds overnight. A few flurries are possible by morning in southern areas.
Light snow will arrive for the Tuesday morning’s commute, but the bulk of the snow is expected to fall from very late morning into the afternoon.
