The Truman Show
  • Have you ever watched Jim Carrey just sleep? How about scrolling the stock market while taking his morning dump? Brushing his teeth?

How much mundane shit does your average person do in a day?

  • The Truman Show
  • I'm honestly not sure, I think it's actually been tried at this point. There's novelty there, at first, but it has to get boring after awhile. Most people just aren't that interesting, when you get down to it. Not on a constant 24/7 level.

  • Thanksgiving is my least favorite holiday
  • Thanksgiving and Christmas for me, right now. Thankfully the last year I'll have to spend with these people, but still hurts knowing I have to put the mask back on and be someone I'm not these last two times.

Yay for another meal having to force a smile hearing about how much people genuinely hate me for something out of my control. Time to put more teeth marks in my tongue.

  • [All] Reminder
  • "ToHard, famous for beating every FromSoft game after having his eyes ritualistically removed and his feet surgically swapped with his hands, has set a new record.

He has speedrun every title, continuously, using only his anus. By setting the discs on the floor and squatting above them, he has gotten good in a way we never expected.

Now, let's see how he does when we introduce the banana..."

  • Do you nap on days off?
  • Sometimes. It seems to depend on the day. If I'm up doing a lot, definitely not, but if I'm taking a complete lazy day, just do what needs done and relax? I'll end up taking a mid-day nap. Especially if one of the cats decides to get snuggly, a relaxed purring cat on my chest is bound to knock me out for at least 30 minutes.

  • MechAssault, all the way back on the OG Xbox. I wish I could remember all the names. So many fun times had trying the stupidest things and somehow winning, like two of us in Raptors going on Ýmir and Loki hunting missions.

  • Which cologne smells so good on a man?
  • This is actually a really difficult question, because the answer is "it depends".

Body chemistry can play a big part in scents. What smells good on one person might smell like absolute ass on another.

Dear Trails game developers, how in the heck is this practical fighting clothes???
  • By leaving the shoulders and hips unrestricted, you can allow yourself more freedom of movement.

Don't need your panties bunching up during combat. This is why g-strings are standard issue for militaries worldwide.

Though the fact hers is black is an interesting choice. Normally they're neon pink or leopard print.

  • Don't give up...
  • I have threatened the oven stack at work for overheating on 3 out of 4 bays so many times. I've even taken out a hammer as I've walked over.

I probably look crazy, but I swear I have watched that thing start cooling quicker after.

  • There Was A House

    There once was a house,

In which you were allowed to play.

    To rest,

    To lay,

    To love,

You were forever welcomed within its halls.

    There was a house,

And there were many locked doors,

    But you were okay,

    Helping the owner open them.

    There was a house,

And behind one of those doors,

    Was found a rose,

    Wilting,

    Dying,

    Under a glass dome.

    There was a house,

And the owner wanted to renovate

    Not much to the outside,

But the rooms they had found,

    They had so much more.

    There was a house,

    And when you came,

    It was with fear,

    For you did not see

What the house wanted to be.

You tried to not let it show,

    To buy materials to help

To give advice where you could,

But could not hide the quiet.

    There was a house,

But you began going to others,

    And when you came,

You told the house how lovely they were.

You spoke of their wallpaper, their carpets, of how everything works so well.

As you stood on everything new,

Using the old words for me.

    There was a house,

    Now it is less

    A strewn mass of rubble,

    That you skip happily down.

Running your hands down faded walls,

    You pay lip service,

    As you pass the rose,

part of the centerpiece of what this house was to be.

    You never see the roots,

As they climb down the table,

    Wrap around all around them,

    Pull everything tighter,

    Together.

You complain as you prick your finger,

    Dancing down the thorns,

How dare this house hurt you?

    There was a house,

And the echoes still ring down the halls,

    Of the name you call.

    Those echoes fill every room,

Surround all that you claim to hold dear,

    Because you can’t see,

    That Rose is also here.

    There was a house,

But there is a garden now.

I wish you could see it,

    To call it beautiful,

    To lay among the flowers,

    To call their petals soft.

    There is a garden,

But that does not mean the house has gone away.

Found these three out in the wild

Came across these three Bandai Quick model kits while out and about. They looked adorable, so they came home and got built.

Honestly great for beginners/kids! Pieces pop out of the frame easily, they're fairly easy to click together, and decently solid for snap-togethers. You can at least pick them up without everything falling apart, though Mew is finicky about staying upright in its stand. Young kids would probably need help with the stickers, and maybe with getting the eye pieces slotted into place.

Going to keep my eyes out for the rest of the line, now.

My wife surprised me with the two-piece Mothman and the NB placard she found at an event as an early birthday present! She got me the trans heart last year.
