Cult tactics. You get your targets to alienate themselves from the rest of society, their friends and family. You get them isolated and then you become their family. It's a mix of Republican think tanks and Democrats taking advantage of whatever the other side is. Abortion, LGBTQ, Racism. Obviously bad actors from across the globe have stoked the fires and accelerated it, but it's been a political tactic since forever. Competing interests do exist, but not at the societal level. Political actors have convinced the religious that they are being oppressed by the "other side" and that they should be able to spread their ideas because they see other groups having their ideas being imposed on people. In reality out groups such as LGBTQ want the equal rights those religious people enjoy,. It's just been taken to an extreme because it's a divisive topic and religious conservatives have been told that their manufactured beliefs are wrong. In reality, they should support those out groups because they enjoy the constitutional protection that those groups are asking for.

Harbor freight long wrench set, a drill, good drill bits, an angle grinder, a cutoff wheel, a Dremel or similar, a 1/4" electric ratchet, pry bars, pick set, a gasket scraper, empty spray bottles from Dollar tree one with soapy wooder and one with some kind of degreaser, the big jug of orange hand cleaner, a nail brush for scrubbing your hands, work gloves the thinner fabric kind with coating on the palms/fingers they have them in Amazon but I get them from work, funnels, an oil catch pan that stores the oil inside, an open catch pan, a magnetic parts tray, long extensions, trim and plastic fastener tools, 3 lb sledgehammer, pipe wrench, torx bits from T10 thru T55, wire and nylon brushes, look for manufacturer specific app for your car forscan for Ford, jscan for jeep/Chrysler/Dodge there's a ton more out there, they let you do a lot More than just the check engine light you'll need an obdii adapter that works with that app, you might want a generic elm327 as well and download the torque app. Watch the torque test channel and project farm on YouTube. Be aware of the rental tool program at most parts stores as well, then there's a bunch of specific tools you might want or need that I won't get into.
My local library gives us access to Chilton online with just a library card. I can access it from home.

I fixed a small automotive issue
This past week we have acquired a new member to the fleet, a "grand" American miniature Van. Upon driving it home my wife commented that it didn't accelerate well onto the highway. I did test drive it and it felt ok, but I hadn't gone on the highway. Today was the first time I've had to merge at high speed and in fact it did take an incredibly long time to get up to speed. I pondered this for awhile on the drive and decided that maybe the aftermarket floor mats were interfering with the gas pedal. I switched them from driver to passenger and vice versa and voila, that sweet American v6 is free to stretch it's legs now.
My work clothes rotation
On one shelf I have my clothes that I wear to work, but as they get worn out I downgrade them into clothes I wear when doing dirty jobs at home. Then finally they get turned into rags.

Lowery electronic organ
My grandmother had a similar electric organ when I was growing up and I kinda of always wanted one. My neighbor down the street was giving this one away so I couldn't pass it up. I just had to clean the contacts on some of the keys. The pedal is for volume. 11 voices for right hand and six for the left hand combine as many as you want to. 4 rhythm choices, Latin, rock, swing, and waltz combine them together and there is a speed slider as well as a separate volume slider. There are also "genie" chord selections for the far left keys and a sustain slider. There is a huge speaker in the body of this thing.
What OS/ OSs for a core2 quad?
I've got a couple of older Dell core2 machines with ddr2. They still have good caps in them. They're interesting to me because they have 3.5" floppy and sata cd/DVD and they can handle a newer os. Id like to keep something around that I can pop in an old cd/DVD or floppy disk or create disks from. I'm just stuck on if I should install xp, 7, 10, tiny 10, some flavor of Linux, they have vista stickers on them. They're just in a weird spot where they're not really vintage PC's and not really modern anymore either.

Rivian Automotive is investigating the cause of a fire that damaged vehicles in a parking lot at its campus in Normal. The plant itself was unaffected, a spokesperson said.
NORMAL — Rivian Automotive is investigating the cause of a fire that damaged vehicles in a parking lot at its campus on the community's west side.
The company's manufacturing plant was unaffected, said Kelli Felker, corporate communications senior manager.
"We are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a number of vehicles in a parking lot at our Normal plant late Saturday night," Felker said in a statement shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday. "The plant itself is unaffected. At this time, we are not aware of any injuries."
A video circulating on social media late Saturday showed concentrated, bright orange flames in the lot outside the plant.
The Normal Fire Department confirmed that it responded to a fire at the Rivian campus, but could not immediately provide more information.
Emergency vehicles were still at the scene as of 12:20 a.m.
Rivian employs more than 8,000 workers at its manufacturing operations in Normal, where all of the company's electric pickup trucks, SUVs and commercial delivery vans are produced.
