Bad Pathfinding:
- Allies: aren't getting stuck anywhere near as often at my base compared to what they were doing near launch. I haven't noticed it recently, but they likely still get stuck depending on how complicated your base gets. Beyond that, any pathfinding is fairly basic, they're not smart about it.
- Enemies: I've seen them navigate through trees and up simple mountain trails when they're running away from me. And if you attack them, and hide up on a nearby cliffside they usually just get stuck at the cliffside below you trying to walk into the wall.
Dumb/Static enemy behaviour:
Yeah this is still very basic. They usually stay in the same place unless they are running away, chasing you, switching targets, or using an ability that forces them to move. It's trivial to just hide behind a tree or a boulder and attack them until their health is low enough to catch. They won't actively try to adjust their angle of attack to compensate for objects between you and them.
Character clipping issues:
The only player structure I still have clipping issues with is one structure meant for increasing your storage/showing off pals at your base. Even then I only saw one player get stuck in it once recently. But he was probably jumping around on top of it for that to happen. It's rare to see issues at the level we saw at launch.
Really weird physics issues:
The one I can remember off the top of my head was where an attack could launch a character up into the stratosphere and then they would fall and instantly die when they finally hit the ground. I haven't seen anything like that in months.
Since trade terminals are overwhelmed, I could see some players starting up a business of mining/salvaging/refining/selling these resources to other players at a premium.
Some examples of commodities required for the missions:
Some notes I'm seeing from other players.
You have to complete this mission 6 times.
Some missions have you going all over the place:
Terra Jump, to Magnus Jump, to Crusader, then to Pyro Jump
One of the commodities is only sold at the Magnus Jump Station.
Commodity stock is a globally shared resource, so jumping from one server to the next will not help (except to maybe find a TDD where there isn't as long of a line of players waiting to buy).
Save Stanton Phase 4 Starts Today
From the spectrum post:
>###### ▲ \[AVAILABLE] Phase 4 - Protestors Clash as Attacks Continue > > Started on Wednesday, November 27\ The recent attacks in Stanton have ignited a movement to clean out the criminal element in Pyro. Citizens for Prosperity is hoping for a peaceful solution, while the Frontier Fighters militant group wants it done by force. Both groups need a hand before they jump:\ \ Save Stanton Phase 4: Re-Supply Haul - Buy, mine, refine, or otherwise acquire commodities for Citizens of Prosperity and deliver them to the Pyro-Stanton jump point.\ Save Stanton Phase 4: Supply Run - The Frontier Fighters need supplies before they leave. Buy, mine, refine, or otherwise acquire what they need and drop it off at the jump point.\ \ Regardless of who you support, you must complete six Re-Supply or Supply Run missions before the end of the event.\ \ The Save Stanton story will continue after 4.0 launches. Now's the time to choose your allegiance, as your choice will matter. Exclusive ship skins will be awarded to those who complete both parts of the story alongside another unique reward for those who just complete the Pyro section.

I think that's a fair question given how it initially launched.
I'm no longer falling through the map. I can't remember the last time that happened (except for the early days of the game).
I've only seen other players joining my world getting stuck inside of rocks when they initially spawn in, but you can just get out by spawning a pal that you can mount right next to the rock that you're stuck in. Edit: Note: This bug is rare and doesn't happen often anymore.
I looked through a few articles but couldn't find anything about a term that would shutdown Palworld just because Nintendo won the lawsuit.
The worst case scenario would be something like Palworld having to change their "Pal Spheres" into "Pal Cubes" or prisms, or something similar.

I think the ending got a little too realistic.
By the time the captain sat down to take the ship out on its first flight he had suddenly aged a ton.
Edit: removed redundant words.

I mean, you really only need to spend $40-45 on the game and everything else is earnable/lootable in-game.
They continue to push out major updates every year and, once you know how to workaround the bugs, the game is a lot of fun.
But a buggy game in this state is definitely not for everyone.
For me personally, as long as they continue to make good progress, I don't have any problem with supporting them.

Oh nice! I didn't realize that they were giving away some FPS gear this time around.
For anyone that doesn't know, gear rewarded in this way will persist/reset across wipes. They're working on a system where you can also recover it in the future once the game goes live and wipes are no longer a thing.
I'm really confused by your comment and it seems like you're assuming everyone knows what you're talking about already. Could you provide some context?
What about "Free" are they getting wrong? (I'm assuming you're talking about Mozilla here?).
What Amazon reviews thing? Who was this "shady dude", what did he do that was so "shady", and how does that relate to Some Amazon review thing if you're not even sure that he was behind it to begin with?
What does "Aled it up" mean?
Apparently they weren't always a gambling site in the way that you see today, they switched over to this sometime in the last 2 years: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBUkajbg688&t=119s
They do write that, but it also says that your money is deposited in an FDIC insured account.
And, according to the article, they even gave you a routing number and account from Evolve:
When I signed up, they gave me an Evolve routing and account number."
The mystery of where those funds are hasn't been solved, despite six months of court-mediated efforts between the four banks involved. That's mostly because the estate of Andreessen Horowitz-backed Synapse doesn't have the money to hire an outside firm to perform a full reconciliation of its ledgers, according to Jelena McWilliams, the bankruptcy trustee.
So you're telling me that a company which manages $42 billion worth of assets doesn't have the money to hire a firm to track down where all of the money was transferred to? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andreessen_Horowitz
Oh yeah, that build will definitely handle it well.
You can still get some major FPS drops in the bigger cities, but for the most part you'll be fine.
To answer your questions specifically:
Is it worth the wait?
- I think so, yeah... But I have been waiting since around 2016.
At least a fun and interesting experience?
- Definitely some fun and interesting experiences that you can't get in other games. There's something for everyone and there are a lot of different things to do: Ship combat, FPS combat, vehicle combat, racing, mining, salvaging, missions, PvE, PvP, Capital ship combat, boarding other ships, hijacking ships, etc. I definitely got my $45 worth of the price I initially paid to back the game.
Is it unique or comparable to a bunch of other games?
- I would probably put it down as a cross between No Man's Sky, Elite Dangerous, Gray Zone, and Eve Online.
Most things in this game you can do in other games... But I haven't found any game that has as many features as this game does. And it's kind of ruined space games for me. Elite Dangerous just feels empty compared to SC. No Mans Sky is fun, but severely limited compared to the amount of players you can play with in Star Citizen.
They've reworked the controls a bit... It's still complicated as hell, but tools like GameGlass really help to streamline things like that.
There's a free fly happening from now until Dec 4th, you can rent a bunch of ships for free. Just start off at "Microtech" to be at the right place from the start. You can decide for yourself if it's good or not.
You'll want a beefy CPU and at least 32GB of RAM (16GB is doable with modifying your computer's page file and adding another 16GB from a fast SSD, otherwise the game will usually crash after a few minutes).
It definitely has it's ups and downs, but it has definitely increased in scope. We're finally getting a second system (in testing right now, but not available for free fly players).
It's still a buggy mess, but they've implemented some server crash recovery features so the worst that usually happens is that the game freezes up for a minute or two and then you can keep playing.
It's a lot of fun to play with a group. I haven't found any other game that really scratches the itch that Star Citizen does...

Carrack Blast Shield View in 4.0
Someone in one of my orgs shared this image of the Carrack with the blast shields down.
Update: 4.0 build is promising and Carrack updates will be in this one... (And maybe... Just maybe, we'll finally see cows... Which were supposed to be in every build for the past few weeks).
Man, the toys invented around that time are the best.... But that's probably all you're really paying attention to at that point.
And for kids now? Well they have things like Skibidi Toilet to keep them occupied.
But for a more serious answer I think that's when they're in their most creative mindset and everything is new to them and they're learning how things work.
Obviously the exact age at which someone starts to take an interest in tech is going to be different from person to person. For me, I was a fan of reading popular science magazines at a younger age as well as manuals on all of the different setting/functions/features of operating systems...
