That's because tech peaked a while back. Tech news is basically about the next hustle to keep the funding coming in while producing nothing truly useful.

I use it for the same reasons as you and I also follow local news outlets and local government since Twitter went to crap. I follow a few special interest groups but political posts, probably by bots is making most of these groups unusable. I couldn't care less about the content. I go to other platforms for that

I wish I knew someone who was disappointed. The only two people in my life that aren't Trumpers are my daughter and her fiance. Everyone else thinks that gas will get back to $1/gallon and food prices will return to pre Covid levels on Jan 21.

The only way we watched is on my wife's Ipad and it was because we weren't watching live. We were about 10 minutes behind the live stream. I tried to join on my Google TV and Netflix would crash.

Comments have been bad for a while. I've left three Facebook groups since the election because of hard right unrelated posts and comments. I'm pretty sure it's due to bots but interesting technical groups became cesspools in less than 24 hours. It reminded me of the end of Usenet.
