I hate that the stores who do that will often get the same item with a different SKU so that there isn't anything online that they actually match. It could be the exact same product, but different SKU.
It's how I determine my favorite car. It's the one I get to drive now.
The bestest dog? The one I get to pet now.
Trump did that stickers on all the electronic prices at best buy.
In the bio hacking world, yea. There are reprogrammable RFID implants that you can get. They are rather large though and kind of suck when trying to use. Check out dangerousthings.com
Let's not build the infrastructure to improve people's lives so our friend with the satellite internet he's selling can make more money.

I could do this, reading out loud even. And not know what the fuck I just read for the last 10 minutes.
And yes, I have ADHD.
I have smart switches, mostly because I'm a tinkerer and build and repair things for fun. I work in IT, so I don't trust any of this. But the switches work like normal for people not used to it. While I also have a button that turns all the lights off in the whole house at once.
My main automations are basically timers. They turn lights on and off at sunrise/down. And one that turns on my backdoor lights when my garage door opens.
As for cars, I totally agree. Adaptive cruise control is the extent of the smart I want in a car. I've had too many false positives where the car will automatically apply the brakes when it didn't need to. And not once where I was in danger of crashing. Once on a bend in the road where a car was parked on the side and another where an RV had pulled to the side on a turn out to let people pass and the car freaked out because it didn't realize the road turned.
I've also had it nudge the wheel too often when I'm purposely hugging one side of the lane because there is construction or a car on the side of the road.
I'm no fancy flashlight guy, but I carry the coast g19 daily.
For what I need a flashlight for, it just works. Takes a single AAA. Doesn't throw far. But has very even light which is great for looking in engine bays or whatever crevice I need.
Plus, it's only $10. I ended up buying a half dozen and tossed them everywhere around the house and in my various bags I carry.
Depending on what people do, the government already has their fingerprints.
Personally, I work around schools so I had to get a background check and fingerprinted for that. I also am licensed to handle explosives, both federally and at the state level. I been fingerprinted for that. I've gone through TSA for hazmat endorsement on a commercial driver's license. That needed fingerprints and a background check.
Getting fingerprinted to get through airport security is the least of my privacy concerns.
But my threat model isn't the TSA. They aren't a concern of mine, although I do opt out of their facial recognition.
I am concerned with internet surveillance, corporate surveillance, and communication surveillance.
I hate how corporate Plex has become. Instead of making their apps better, now it's how many "free" services they can try and get you to use.
All I wanted was my hosted media. And to easily share that with family without having to manage user accounts.
I run jellyfin along side it, but Plex still gets the most use.
Same emotions?
On a good day by Above and Beyond.
I first heard it at a rave, rolling on ecstacy, going through pretty bad depression. It was during their "Group Therapy" set. I felt so connected to everyone around me. So peaceful. So understood. I cared and loved everyone around me and I felt the same in return. Sure, I was high. But it was a moment a decade ago that I can still remember vividly, and a point where I started taking my mental health seriously and started to deal with it and finally start to feel good about myself.
Tombstone, AZ has a population of 1,313.
I specifically will boycott places if their ads annoy me enough.
I want a replica of the ocarina from Lunar: A Silver Star Story.
It's such a beautiful instrument.
Just make it long with an intermission.
Lots of old musical films did that. Like Oklahoma!, Fiddler on the Roof, and Hello Dolly.
Lol. No ai. Just a really bad Photoshop of the mentos label.
Rhapsody's Holy Thunderforce is just so damn entertaining.
And Helloween's Eagle Fly Free is pretty high on my list.
Besides all that manual labor requires math. A ton requires geometry.
You think plumbing, framing, electrical or any trade is done without measuring and quite complicated math?
It's starting to tell a story
It's coming together. This is the main decoration I set up for my house. I've still got a lot to do with the lighting control, fog, and audio.
Autograph ID help
This was thrown up to us today by Clark at the Cubs game as part of the fan appreciation weekend.
Does anyone recognize the autograph?
What tips do you have for training your dog?
I'm planning on getting a dog soon and would love some tips and tricks.
My tip is that when you take your dog for a walk, before crossing any street make them sit and wait for you to tell them to cross.
It helped when my dog got out a few times he would only walk around the block and never cross streets or run into traffic.
With Christmas coming up, what are you favorite Christmas songs from emo bands?
Just refound You Blew It! Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree and wanted more songs to add to my seasonal playlist this year.
Seafaring Scalywags is a reference to the Gilligan's Island theme song
