Fuck all tipping. Fuck unclear prices. Fuck variable service.
Put clear prices. Expect consistent service. Pay fair wages.
If it's about low pay. Why not expect businesses to pay fair liveable wages like every other industry?
If it's about quality of service. Why do you not expect good service every time? Why do you not also tip your doctor for good service or the construction workers who ensured the roads are good for you to use?
Idiotic inconsistencies and morons everywhere defending it. Only in recent years are people finally taking notice, but 10 years ago oh I'm an asshole for suggesting tipping should be banned in favor of consistency, clear prices, and fair wages.
The same people who think they pay federal tax dollars cause they never realize they get it all back and then some.
My issue is that most mom & pop shops suck. Local places often have horrid customer service or business practices and are run by people who have no business running businesses. Very few are legitimately good.
And it's not just where I live now. This has been the case everywhere I have lived.
It's why I hate the blanket "support local" bs.
They'll fuck it up.
Need a therapist? Just start a recipe blog.
Fuck Sony. It'll be garbage and they'll do something moronic with it like most of their decision making the last 15 years.
Vita owners will complain about memory cards, but they overblow that issue. It was a bit of an issue. THE issue was Sony forgot they had a handheld. They quit really giving a shit about it after only a year or two. They barely pushed it or pushed for games on it.
The memory card complaints are just lemmings. The issue was bigger than that.
I bet you also think you pay income taxes cause they take it out of every check and then fail to connect the dots they gave it all back and then some during tax season.
Every company everywhere is doing that. There are ways to limit things and be okay with it.
If companies using your data and pushing gambling bothers you, go live off the grid.
Without more info from both sides, this could go both ways, and most likely is a little of both.
Ultimately the onus is on the employer to have contacted OP to check on them.
I can totally see a toxic workplace excluding people they simply don't like. Seen that happen a lot of times. The typical cool crowd culture often would exclude the people they deem as "weird." But this is extreme to totally cut someone off.
On the flipside, it's entirely possible OP is a self-fulfilling prophecy that seeks this drama even where it isn't happening, and other people may have determined OP needed space, or grown tired of it and blocked OP out of mind to save their own mental health. Some people can be a huge burden, especially when they aren't trying to help themselves but merely complain all the time.
Shrug. Who knows. I could see this being a lot of things.
OP, you gotta worry about you. I guess move on and find some happierness.
This ignores the difference after 5-10 years. Rent keeps going up.
So you're saying Kill Bill's hospital scene was a Disney thing?
As a long time Steam user, while I still really like Steam and think it's the more consumer friendly platform, it has devolved greatly. Especially discussion forums are nearly no different than reddit toxicity where people exhibit their worst behaviors. I miss the legitimate discussions and love for specific games. Now it's mostly complaining and complete disregard for developers being humans.
The flood of garbage games has also been fairly obvious over the last decade. Some filters on your account handle a lot of this at least for the adult ones, but not all of it. It reminds me of the Wii shovelware era, but far worse.
BUT I would remind the Senator they STILL don't even have a fucking budget passed for this fiscal year we are already a month and a half into and they oughta stay in their lane and do their first basic god damn job before pointing at the supposed failures of others.
Since I was a child. Religious nutjobs in and around my family. Then I became an adult and it's all I see from people in response to news.
It gets old so I try to tune out, remove toxic people, and focus on enjoying my life.
Elder Scrolls Online, as long as you find a good group of friends.
I also nearly have 1000 hours in MGSV Phantom Pain.
Probably mostly for middle class white people. A pretty significant chunk of the population I think struggled to enjoy those benefits.
In the scope of human history, we have addressed a shitload of issues and bettered the lives of billions in a very short period of time.
Yes, there is more to do and more can be done. But let's not act like there's no good done. It is incredible how better most everything about life as a human is today relative to most of our history.
So if I say you get to choose a kick in the genitals or a punch in the face, and you choose neither, then somehow you are the asshole?
Log off and go away. Get off your armchair.
Some people oughta just admit they don't like star wars.
It was 10 years ago.
People just want to be smug now cause it's the cool thing to do.
Kenny Wallace on DJD Podcast
It wasn't good. It got old real fast. Now they're giving him and Schrader their own show? And Schrader says he doesn't wanna just throw his opinions out there cause he dislikes everyone giving opinions all the time. That show is gonna suck.

Today is Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty from the Master Collection, Volume 1 on Steam. This is really just the HD edition from a decade ago though. But they did seem to enhance the visuals a bit, and like the other collection games, it comes with some background material like a Screenplay. This was probably my 20th time playing this game on yet another platform since the original.
Here messing around with soldiers. I like the markers over their heads.
Magazines come in handy.
I also like a lot of the in-game posters. There's some mods for these too. You should give Ghost Babel a try. It's non-canon, but still a great game.
More "interesting" posters.
There's an easter egg early in the Tanker if you find a specific poster of a woman in a locker and stare at it just right, then call Otacon.

Metal Gear Solid from their recent Master Collection, Volume 1. Played mostly via Steam Link and a little bit on Steam Deck. This was playing through the Japanese version (it has pretty much every version included). At this moment I think Snake's saying "that takes care of the cremation."
Here's a bonus screenshot of how this collection handles the games swap to disc 2. It does a disc flip animation showing one disc exiting and another inserting. I liked it.
And here's Johnny freaking out in Japanese.

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, Volume 1. Mostly played streaming to my TV via Steam Link, but also played a bit on Steam Deck. I think this is an English dub of the MSX version. This isn't the NES version. It was an excellent game for its time.
Snake also seems really concerned with Christmas as you can see.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, Fatesworn DLC for PS4 played on PS5.
Played this game to 100% on PS3 originally. Was fun to play it again completely, and then get a bit more story beyond the original release with this DLC.
I have always felt this was an under-appreciated action rpg with a lot of great lore, fun characters, and varying environments.
The world and lore was created by R.A. Salvatore (fantasy writer), art sonehow directed by Todd McFarlane (Spawn creator), and originally funded by Curt Schilling (baseball player), and then at one point the IP was owned by the State of Rhode Island.
So basically you're getting a story in and out of the game Ha Ha. It was wild to watch this over the years come back to life with a re-release.
Note: Apparently lemmy can't handle large pics. Had to shrink it. So it gets potato quality like my previous Vita screenshots.

The best way to see the hero involves kidnapping.
From Ys I Chronicles played on Steam Deck. An excellent older game and story.

Friends and adventurers going into the unknown together. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for Vita.

Ys I Chronicles on Steam Deck. A (very important to the lore) woman that the main character rescues is fainting because she had to walk all the way back to town. What a monster he is to not carry her the entire way! Haha.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana on Vita. Getting ready for a Gendarme mountaintop boss fight.

PS Vita game Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. This is early into the game when you find your first castaway. Adol stumbled on her bathing in the stream.
I personally always loved the Vita graphics and the feel of the handheld, so I prefer this version of the game.
