I suppose my intent for this question was a little more nuanced than what I posted, so my bad. Generative AI wowed me initially, but it very quickly lost its appeal to me the more it became anti-consumer. As I learned more about the models and saw how it just aggregates and plagiarizes human created content it all really soured on me. I suppose it's still technically impressive, but I really struggle to see how the benefits outweigh the cost.
Does anyone else feel like tech peaked around 10+ years ago?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does anyone else feel like technology - specifically consumer tech - kinda peaked over a decade ago? I'm 37, and I remember being awed between like 2011 and 2014 with phones, voice assistants, smart home devices, and what websites were capable of. Now it seems like much of this stuff either hasn't improved all that much, or is straight up worse than it used to be. Am I crazy? Have I just been out of the market for this stuff for too long?
The tweet in question to save you the click.
The replies are hilarious. Everyone is 100% in favor of this idea, but the MAGA dipshits don't realize she's literally only doing this to protect a pedophile sex trafficker.
So, MTGs plan is to call out the entire Republican party as corrupt and rally her supporters to air their dirty laundry to the public. Truly fantastic, MTG. Please don't let anyone talk you out of it.
The gamer chickened out, responding, “I would have liked to but 34.2 temperature + stomach ache + headache sorry I give up.”
Fuck that. It could be the hottest day on record and I'm dying of dysentery and I'm not passing up an opportunity to throw hands with a billionaire.
Is that where the confirmation hearings for the cabinet picks are being held?
The first time it was a tragedy,
The second time it's a farce.
Outside it's 1933,
So I am hitting the bars.
And I don't know what's going on anymore.
The world outside is burning with a brand new light,
But it isn't one that makes me feel warm.
Don't go mistaking your house burning down for the dawn.
That tweet's a roller coaster.
You're right. We all wish that we could eat eggs, meat and dairy but we just physically can't, and that's definitely the only reason we're vegan.
How so? I'm trying to understand if you think these charges didn't warrant an investigation in the first place, or you are only saying this in hindsight of Trump's reelection.
Well it's great to hear you've found a silver lining for a fucking genocide. /s
AOC actually did quite well in her election.
They deserve each other.
Members of the DNC were emailing each other about how best to undermine Sanders' presidential campaign after promising to remain neutral. Democrats, if you want to inspire voters, let them pick the fucking candidate!

Ok fair enough. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything. I just watched my wife go through breastfeeding two kids and I know how much the stigma against it sucks. It's tough to schedule around as it is without having to worry that someone is going to be offended that you're trying to feed your child.
Pumping and breastfeeding aren't easy. You don't get to determine when it's time to pump. Hanging out with friends? Better have a pumping plan. 3 AM? Time to pump. The fact that she's giving up so much time and freedom for others is really amazing.
You don't want to know about someone helping infants in need, or you're grossed out by breasts?
Center: I want your help in my life.
Left: I want your name in my room.
Right: I want your number in my account.
What are you going to do, no matter how small, to make the world a little better?
Lots of people are feeling hopeless and upset right now, and for good reason. It's normal to feel like no matter what you do, things are going to get much worse for a lot of people. Blame, despair and anger are natural reactions, but as the shock of the situation dulls, what's your plan going forward?
Call me naive, but seeing hate have a resurgence makes me want to do more to help the people that are going to suffer the most. I'm going to make a plan to volunteer more of my time and resources to help organizations that need it. I'm going to see if my friends can organize with me to sponsor a migrant family. I may not be able to do much, but my personal way of coping with shitty situations is to try to make the world a little less shitty.
I'm going to try to be kinder and more forgiving with people, and be a better role model for my kids. And I'm going to resist and fight back against hate when I see it.
Lastly, I'm going to be a more supportive friend to the people in my life. And to anyone reading this that feels like this world's gone insane, and you're all alone: you're not. We're still in this together, and I appreciate everything you're doing.
