My guess is that this is talking about flat screens used in common areas for announcements and whatnot. Not screens in rooms.
Dense living isn't the issue. It's single family homes turning everything into lawn
Since geopolitics switched to neoliberalism, Governments are unable to respond to the needs of their citizens. This has led to an increasingly fast-paced game of hot potato where any leading political party looks incompetent as economic disaster after economic disaster crushes more of their citizens. In this climate, the anger of Nationalism/Fascism becomes easier to swallow, since it has "answers" to your "problems".
That, plus moneyed interests need to keep climate change going in order to make all the money, so they embrace fascism rather than competent Government.
Maybe don't shit on yourself to get people to compliment you? You're the best you that exists, act like it.
I'm gonna say it. Maybe we don't use the acronym for a state as the acronym for a public university unrelated to that state? Just saying. Just throwing it out there.

Yeah, go into the post, copy the text, put it in a text post, and then awkwardly source it back to George Takei on BlueSky. Isn't that a much smoother/robust post experience? Definitely don't just screenshot the place with all that info that's already in a clear and common format /s
I generally think the rule on splitting infinitives was made up by English majors upset that English isn't more compatible with Latin, but in this case I think the attempt to avoid the split made the sentence weaker and ruins the sentiment.
"Trying to not kill yourself" implies effort. It sounds like you're actively avoiding something. "Trying not to kill yourself" sounds like you're doing something different, to change it up.
... really? They're still being fought in the courts. Like, what the fuck commentary is this? "What about the thing you've been trying to do this whole time?" Yeah, they're still doing that.
Did you consider that Microsoft lawyers said prices wouldn't go up? Cause they did, they did say that, which is why the merger was approved. Do you think lawyers can just lie? Don't you think it's much more fair now that companies can make pinky promises that prices won't go up before they become more monopolistic. That's just good business for both customers and businesses /s
Hey. You're the one shoveling disheartening shit, not me. Pretending a general strike would be easy here in the states is one of the other reasons why it's so fucking hard to do. Every time someone half-asses one, people buy into the hype, and then nothing happens makes it less likely for an actual general strike to happen. It's a logistical nightmare that could only work if you got unions to buy-in, and that would require coordinating contract expirations to coincide around the time you want the strike to happen, since unions in the states can't legally go on a solidarity strike. I'm definitely not saying it's impossible, but crying that it's actually really easy and the fact that America hasn't done it is because we all actually like the taste of boot is the actual demotivating opinion to shovel.
Refuse? This was called by unions. In the US, that kind of union activity is illegal. What system do you think we can use in the US to call for a general strike that enough people would 1) be aware of the strike 2) agree with the need for a strike and 3) be able to participate without harming their livelihoods? Cause in Greece, the answer for all three was unions. Here in the states... I don't know if anything is setup for that. Even reaching enough people to begin with would be tough.
Like, be rightly angry at the laws in the US that make this nigh impossible, maybe raise awareness, but don't blame the damn victims.
... if your mouth is healthy, neither of these things hurt or bleed. The "shiv" is used to measure the pull away happening between your gums and teeth. If you brush/floss regularly, that gap will be small and not inflamed so it won't hurt or bleed. Likewise with flossing, your mouth is bleeding because it's fighting off an active infection in the gum tissue. If you flossed enough, there wouldn't be an infection there to fight and no bleeding would occur.
If you don't use /s when being sarcastic, I'm going to treat your comment as being earnest
Before downvoting, check the community.
If you fail to use the /s tag or specifically call out that your comment is sarcastic, I'm going to treat it as being earnest. I might ask if you're being sarcastic, but I will downvote as though you are being earnest.
The /s tag not only clarifies, but it also confirms that you're being sarcastic. A thing you cannot ordinarily convey via written text unless you specifically call it out. You can hint at it, readers can infer it, but you cannot convey it. To convey it, sans directly stating it, you would need to include a recording of you speaking the comment, which defeats the whole point of text chats.
"It definitely reads as sarcasm, you're just missing it" So what? I'm neurodivergent. I barely get this shit in its normal, spoken context. Why should I be expected to understand the implied sarcasm in your text comment?
"Telling someone you're being sarcastic ruins it" Unless your definition of sarcasm is just lying to someone's face, you do indicate sarcasm when speaking. Via the exaggerated, deadpan tone you use. Something you can't convey in written text unless you specifically call it out.
"I made it very clear via hyperbole that it was sarcasm" Have you talked to people? Your obvious, over-the-top, hyperbolic sarcasm could just be someone's opinion taken whole cloth. In fact, you probably modeled your exaggeration AFTER a person. Can you see why, if I don't know you, there's no way to tell?
"I forgot the tag" cool, if I see the edit adding it back in, I'll revert my downvote. Consider it the opportunity cost of forgetting.
"It doesn't hurt anyone" Yes, it does. You give credence to your exaggerated position that you would never take because the people who think like that exaggerated position will point to your comment as proof that they have support. It's why 4chan rebirthed nazism.
"I still won't do it". Then have fun with the downvote. You want to make the internet worse? I'll be sure that you don't get the internet points your brain craves.
