Let people just use what they want, okay? It's their choice.
  • My point is that she can be @taylorswift.com not @taylorswift@taylorswift.com. Also, exaggerating the number of illiterate people in the USA doesn't help your argument. You can already be @FaylorSwift on twitter so I'm still not seeing how this is any more secure than using her actual domain that her fans may be familiar with.

  • Eh, anyone with their own domain can use it even without hosting anything. It just takes a DNS record. So Taylor Swift can have @taylorswift.com or w/e her official website is and that's pretty much the exact same situation as claiming domain ownership. Someone else could likely register taylorswift.boats but I think most people would realize something is off there.

  • Look, I recognize that it's possible for LLMs to produce code that is literally someone else's copyrighted code. However, the way I use copilot is almost exclusively to autocomplete my thoughts. Like, I write enough code until it guesses what I was about to write next. If that happens to be open source code that someone else has written, then it is complete coincidence that I thought of writing that code. Not all thoughts are original.

Further, whether I should be at fault for LLM vendors who may be breaking copyright law, is like trying to make a case for me being at fault for murder because I drive a car when car manufacturers lobby to the effect that people die more.

  • Ahh right, so when I use copilot to autocomplete the creation of more tests in exactly the same style of the tests I manually created with my own conscious thought, you're saying that it's really just copying what someone else wrote? If you really believe that, then you clearly don't understand how LLMs work.

  • How do people in this day in age become nazis/neonazies sexist or even incels when there is so much knowledge against it? Do they get anything out of being that way?
  • Celibacy is a lifestyle choice. Wanting sex and not having it, is not what I would call "involuntarily adopting a lifestyle choice". Incel is rather, like you said, the feeling of being "unfuckable". The problem, as I see it, is that the majority of men in this position are voluntarily "unfuckable". They are actively being unlikeable by doing things like treating women like they they should be required to like them, which in turn, makes them "unfuckable".

  • The DNC is the only reason you're not currently enjoying a second-term Sanders and a sane Supreme Court.
  • If people think it was the DNC all I'll say is "could be". The main stream media very much did Bernie dirty. If they reported on Bernie's campaign at all, it was to essentially mention that he was not a real candidate. They never reported on the massive rally turnouts he was having. If people consuming MSM saw how much energy was in the Bernie campaign I would bet that would have gotten more people interested in his message and to the primary to vote for him.

  • This is high key her fault...
  • Nah, I blame the media. If any mainstream media actually bothered to report seriously on Bernie and especially the turnouts he was pulling at his rallies, we probably would have had more than enough people energized to vote in the primary and the general. Instead, the MSM acted like Bernie wasn't a real candidate. I stopped supporting NPR after how dirty they did him.
