Living on the east side of Cincinnati, what's a bike lane ?
I'm curious whether regional cold spots increase also. My area has been below average for the last few years and when I look at temperature maps, sure enough we're in a blue section surrounded by reds. I know temps are up overall but are extremes being stretched both ways leading to stronger weather events, or is the trend almost exclusively warmer?
I've lived in European cities with great rail and bicycle infrastructure. But there's nothing good coming in my part of Ohio. There's no buses, or bike lines. Or sidewalks, not even a shoulder on the road. They've spent a couple of years adding two overpasses for the local highway though. Our tax dollars at work.
Guns are also for providing food, for conservation, for recreation, for self-defense (really the only good force equalizer against a stronger attacker which is great for women, minorities and the disenfranchised), and also as a general warning against the threat of tyranny.
If we punish manufacturers for bad uses, should they be rewarded for every time someone does something positive with a gun?
That's a little regulation, not liability or mandating control of the product's use.
This was before the current enshittification. My family was all against it in the 90s and today they're all saying that insurance companies are what's wrong with health care. Things have changed.
I like watching guys build and run burnout cars on YouTube. If you think the tires are the expensive part, man are you in for a surprise.
Should car manufacturers be liable for drunk drivers, stolen cars, distracted drivers etc?
You can still make great money if you're packing out big venues. I don't know who either of these people are so I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't able to sell out big amphitheaters or stadiums. Small venue shows are great but they aren't buying you multiple houses.
See my other comment. I'm not at my PC at the moment and don't remember the launcher I'm using but some of the options are cheat modes and level skips. You could beat the game in 4k if you like.
I played this again earlier this year. There are some amazing mods/launchers out there. Resolution and texture upgrades, cheat options, more. It's still super playable today. It's like the grandaddy of GTA.
That land has traded hands for thousands of years, no doubt.
Affordable Care Act was terrible at first. It's barely better now. And I was talking about the last four years mostly. My family's wages went down when you factor healthcare costs (not even considering the inflation on food etc). Democrats need to be pushing for single payer, it's actually popular even among some Republican voters if the Democrats knew how to communicate with people instead of calling them names. If they would run on fixing minimum wage and European style healthcare they would probably be able to get it done.
Tell me more how Democrats improved living wages and our healthcare system.
No question the Republicans are going to be worse, sadly (and with full control). But the fact the "party of the people" also gave us a fuck off is a big reason team red won everything.
I probably enjoy driving way more than you do, and that's an understandable difference. But I do spend 90% of my free time where there are no charging stations, which is why I don't have an EV yet. I also never have to drive in traffic because of where I spend my free time and the fact that I live on the outskirts of town. So driving is pretty pleasant. Honestly, sometimes it's amazing. I've had a couple of great train experiences, but nothing that ever touched a great road trip in a car or on a motorcycle. I think another factor for me is time. I've never had more than a week off at once in my life, and I've been working for 40 years. When I do have a vacation, I want to get there quickly, enjoy the drive, enjoy the time there, and enjoy the drive back quickly with the music bumping the whole way. I sometimes fly but if it's under a 24 hr drive away I just drive it straight thru only stopping for fuel. It's amazing watching the landscape change so much in just one day.
Have you never had sardine cargo class seats on a train? Or standing? I've experienced both what you described, and also what I described. Most Americans have never experienced either. One thing about a car though, I can blast my tunes with my subs kicking and not piss off the strangers riding next to me. I've had a bunch of nice train trips, but I have had hundreds if not thousands of amazing road trips in a car or on a motorcycle.
That's only like a 4 hr drive though. I drive farther than that for quick overnight trips all the time.
I used to help nonprofits with free or at-cost PCs and to help with that I accepted donations of old stuff. Most was scrap and I'd salvage a few parts and recycle the rest.
One PC was donated from a paint shop. Here's a picture that doesn't show everything, but enough. Yes there was rust on the PSU and even parts of the motherboard. Yes it was still running Windows XP and booted up fine. This was 2016.
