This isn't OC (I cross posted from another community), and I'm struggling to figure out how to get any info or comments from loops.video.
> If you've ever played Lemmings and wanted to take a more hands-on approach, Moons of Darsalon may be worth a try. Coming to PS5 and PS4 on 6th February next year, the game has you playing as a little astronaut who must rescue all the others in each level.
> When you find characters, they'll follow along behind you, and it's your job to get them all back to base safely. However, you're actively involved in this action platformer, needing to dispatch aliens, solve puzzles, and overcome obstacles. You'll also make use of large vehicles and blow holes in the destructible environments.
> The art and animation is particularly strong here, with what seem to be 3D models converted into this sort of gritty, pixelated style. The jury's still out on whether it's fun to play, although the Steam version stands with a Very Positive rating, so it seems promising.
gone back on their promises they laid out in the lead up to the last election
Maybe we should have another election after every election?
Maybe we should have another EU referendum, as the winning side definitely broke their promises.
Maybe we should just vote again on stuff simply because we don't like the result.
Maybe we should wait five years and then have another general election to decide if they should stay in power or not.

‘It was our rock'n'roll’ - How the ZX Spectrum became a 1980s icon
A new documentary looks at the impact of the ZX Spectrum, the computer that kickstarted a gaming revolution
FEATURE How John Ferrari's Kids (And Grandkids) Are Helping Resurrect C64 Superstar Maximus Mouse
"He loved what he did and was brilliant at it"
> If you owned a C64 back in the day, then you might be familiar with Summer Camp (1990) and Winter Camp (1992), two titles published by Thalamus and coded by the late John D. Ferrari.
> Ferrari sadly passed away in 1996, but Thalamus – which remains in business to this very day – has always worked closely with his family to ensure that royalties pass to the right people (it's worth noting that both Summer Camp and Winter Camp are included on the recent Evercade Thalamus Collection). "I've been in regular contact with John Ferrari's family for the last 10-odd years, and I'd been keen to do something new with Maximus Mouse, the star of Summer Camp and Winter Camp," says Thalamus Digital's Andy Roberts.
> In a particularly heartwarming turn of events, Ferrari's Maximus Mouse is about to make a return. Pug Fugly Games – a developer that has worked with Thalamus on more than one occasion – released a free game on itch.io called Marty Mouse's Missing Millions earlier this year, and it caught Roberts' attention.
> "While discussing Pug Fugly's next project with programmer Chris Roper, the thought occurred to me that the Marty Mouse game could be expanded to include party modes for multiple players. It was at this point that the idea of using Maximus Mouse first cropped up."
> Given that both games feature mice, it wasn't a massive conceptual leap for Roberts to make – and he soon pitched the idea to Roper. "A couple of weeks later, I formally proposed the idea of rebranding the Marty Mouse party game as a Maximus Mouse game; not only would this allow us to bring back a much-loved C64 character, but it would also allow us to potentially involve John Ferrari's family by letting his grandkids test the game – in the same way that John's kids used to test his games back in the day."
> Roper was on board with the idea, as was Vicky. "With the plan in motion, Chris and I began collaborating on ideas for the various party games and modes within the game," continues Roberts. "Since May 2024, Chris has been busy working on the game, fleshing out the playing modes and party games, nailing down the graphic style, and generally doing most of the hard work while I shout at him from the peanut gallery. We also hit on the idea of using various characters from the Maximus Mouse games as cameos in the new game – the large, swooping eagles are an example of this."
> The game will be available on Steam, and, as Roberts says, the wider Ferrari family will be deeply involved with playtesting it before it launches next year – a wonderful setup which ensures that John Ferrari's legacy continues for a good while yet.
Yeah, that's not UK, I do apologise, some rogue hard coding.

A road bridge in east London currently has a couple of bales of hay hanging from it - because of an ancient law.
Not really a folk tradition but enshrined in law. There's not a weird laws/bylaws community so this seemed like the most appropriate place.

I think it's the cache which goes a bit high. If you clear it it should fix that.

What I like with UK subtitles, is that different characters get different colours. With translation subtitles this never seems to happen.

Yes, I heard/saw/read that this is exactly what Amazon do, some years back now. They know who you are, what stage of life you are at, and they know what you want before you do.
Yes, happy to expand it to Ireland. I'm not excluding general European content anyway, so it will fit nicely here.
Outlook. It's obviously shit but it notifies me of stuff which is all I need.
