"I used to be an adventurer like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee..."
I can't believe this one from Skyrim wasn't in the thread yet.
My dad works for the DOT in a state that has a large homeless population. After the police remove everyone from the campsite, the DOT goes in to clean up.
And by clean up, I mean thely just throw literally everything into a big dumpster. Although apparently it can be pretty gross due to the unsanitary conditions (no toilets) and drug needles laying around, so they get 'hazard pay' and overtime pay for the job.
I'm sure the team of cops get 'hazard pay' and probably overtime as well. This usually takes a day or two and happens every few weeks. The cost of labor alone to temporarily displace these homeless people must be astronomical... I bet they could build so much temporary/transition housing with that money instead.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that the police usually only remove these encampments in wealthier neighborhoods and let the poor areas deteriorate.
Plus, he can always dismiss the generals who disagree with him, and appoint new ones that do.
Another fact: Society failed to educate him properly using taxpayer money.
Perhaps society deserves to face the consequences of its actions.
Lol
Per capita they're still waaay lower than the USA. And they're implementing public transit and renewable power faster than most other countries.
That's not even considering how much Chinese manufacturing is solely for Western consumption.
I personally think it will take a complete shift in human mentality. One that will only come about via artistic movements, whether that be music, painting, film, or even propaganda posters.
IMO, art is the most important factor for bring about such a massive cultural shift. Kind of like how art in the Renaissance caused people to view life more scientifically and logically instead of based purely of faith.
Similarly, art from the the hippie movement in the 70s promoted peace and love instead of competitiveness, war and destruction.
These models always assume that direct carbon capture technologies will extract ridiculous amounts of the CO2 out of the atmosphere.
Also 3C will be devastating as is though. That's not including biodiversity loss, ocean acidification, and rising sea levels.
Even if they raise hotel prices 50%, they'll still be cheaper than hotels in other massive cities. If people don't mind paying $300/night in Paris or London, they'll be okay with paying $150-200/night in Barcelona.
It's extra funny cause city ppl are actually subsidizing car infrastructure in the burbs.
I'm sure the people who play pro/competitive Farming Simulator will try to argue the differences between the yearly versions. And how the minor gameplay tweaks change the meta.
I think capitalism is the cancer. Fascism is just the symptom of late stage capitalism.
I also love this CIA guide. And Ecodefense is great too
Don't forget art! Arguable the most effective tool at our disposable to shift the way humanity thinks.
Then there's this guy.....
They would be pleased to know that now, 40 years later, we are releasing record amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. #progress.....
The only thing that's like GTA are the publisher and the controls/movement. I've played all the GTA games and it's a totally different vibe.

Nottongham Forest (NOT) vs Tottenham (TOT)
Predictions, reactions, frustrations.... Get it all out here, not r/coys
Any apps or websites that help find nearby protests and when they are happening?
Title. I only ever hear about protest in the news, days after they happen. Does anybody know of anything that has nearby protests schedules? Or maybe an app that helps plan protests?
FOSS would be ideal, but anything would help.
Post match thread
3' - Goal Johnson
90'+1 - Goal Sarabia
90'+7 - Goal Lemina
My takeaways:
Pretty meh performance ever since the first goal. Dier's passing is still dire. Gil is still a twig. Son looked off today. Lo Celso looked hungry aggressive.
- MATCH THREAD
Coys! Starting a match thread here cause I don't use Reddit anymore.
