I think a lot of the appeal is that it does just drop you right in at the deep end and doesn't set out much of the bigger picture stuff right there at the front. It's not going to be to everyone's liking.
It's got a lot in common with hardboiled stories, except that where your classic hardboiled detective is moving through a world we are somewhat familiar with, Case is moving through somewhere rather more exotic. You might get some benefit from reading Burning Chrome and Johnny Mnemonic which are short stories then coming back.
There is probably something to be said for just visualising rather than trying to understand.
Trouble is, "useful idiot" is a type of asset.
He has in the past had some good conversations with interesting individuals, but he is probably the most credulous person on the face of the earth since Joseph bought the line about the virgin birth.
He doesn't just give no pushback, he believes whatever he is told as received wisdom. He's the kind of guy that Ancient Aliens was targeted at. Unfortunately that has got him into the secret truths/fascist death spiral.
Yeah, though I guess my point is if you don't have open ink, you probably don't have open printers.
Yeah, on one hand this is the game the law makes you play with trademarks despite it all being rather bullshit. On the other hand the trump guitar is made by shitstains, for shitstains.
Woo bad guy fight!
He died so you can sin. Would be a waste of a good blood sacrifice to live a pure life if your god is just handing out grace.
I don't even think this is the first time Gibson has done this this year.
I'm not even sure if it is the first time this month.
It probably hasn't caught on because when it comes to consumer inkjets it isn't the printer that's the expensive bit. Compare to 3d printers where the medium is fairly cheap and reasonably interchangeable. And if not inkjet then laser, and laser toner is really nasty stuff to work with.
3 stars, the motion is interesting but it is an awful shade of green.
The owner of the railway sues the estates of the dead.
I use Neovim for most of my coding. Though admittedly that is very rarely HTML.
What about what you have tried so far isn't working for you? You seem to like them.
I'm not local to you (so social conventions might be different) but if the dress code is casual I think as long as you don't go for a pattern that is actually offensive or anti-corporate you will be fine. Even advice like no bulky yarns sounds like it is rather based on traditional office dress, where you would want something that can be worn under a suit jacket.
One thing I would suggest you take into account is how easy to take it off it will be. You won't control the thermostat so you might find yourself adding/removing layers to maintain comfort. You might also might find yourself wanting something in the summer too, if the site is air conditioned.
Legal tender also has some hoops to jump through, you can't just scream legal tender and throw physical money at your creditor¹. If I remember rightly you need to lodge it with the courts and then it basically prevents you from being sued as the money is there to pick up. Or rather they can begin the process but it is resolved and the court won't assist them in recovering it in other ways.
Of course I don't think it does anything to protect your credit rating, though the documents might help you dispute the record and get it cleared.
- Well, you can, but it probably won't help.
"I learned it by watching you!" - The AI (probably)
It's pretty close to being a defining feature of the art. As it goes this example is actually rather restrained, no sashes, no flying ribbons, no scrolls...
We spend so much effort teaching children honesty, respect, to share and to empathise. Then we spend the rest of their childhood beating all that back out of them while telling anyone who wants to cling to those ideals to grow up.
"Can't" always sounds like a challenge to me (and to this pilot apparently)
A hot toddy is a good winter drink, there are various recipes but the main thrust is whisky, honey, hot water and winter spices. Maybe some lemon and herbs.
Snowballs are popular for some reason, advocaat and sparkling lemonade. Probably no good if you don't like nog.
The white russian is probably a good move if you want something rich but don't like eggnog.
There are all kinds of punch suitable for winter, sloe gin (even if you don't like gin, sloe gin is a different beast) is a good move, other hedgerow fruits, cider and or a sweet, fruity red wine.
Mulled wine is always a good move for large groups.
Definitely worse. But I think the bigger problem is the amount of what a search engine returns being AI drivel that has been seo'd to fuck. Sometimes it feels like actively using an AI tool is the only option to ferret out a real answer in a timely fashion (which is also a problem.)
I have a horrible feeling that we are all to soon going to find ourselves with an internet that can only be reasonably interpreted through an AI intermediary like some kind of familiar spirit.
Good thing those can always be trusted right?
