It's nice to meet all you. I am she/her, can speak Toki Pona and English (non-natively), and locatable on Reddit as MozartWasARed. The links at https://discord.gg/sEuSSDz6TQ and https://www.deviantart.com/triagonal/art/My-copyright-policy-and-the-impact-it-extends-into-906668443 are pertinent to me.
Not to mention the Jedi take younglings for training while the Sith simply wait for them to make a choice.
You mean you didn't find it?
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
I'd buy myself a more proper country and be the change I want in the world.
Actual marriage equality.
I do it a lot due to my sleep being off and due to there not being a lot to do.
Why does this surprise anyone? Doesn't anyone know what terms of service are? This place is the same way.
There was someone I know who died of covid, and there is reason to believe I was the one who gave it to them. I remember frantically rereading scripture after that for an assessment to get an idea of the weight of that. I don't like the thought.
The definition of proof. Many people see mere hints that something is true and immediately conclude their hypothesis is unchallengeable.
People seem obsessed with circulating rumors that I have (among other rumors), but the answer is no, I have not.
I would use the slow movement of sea snails. I'd have an enclosed area with a sea snail on one end and food on the other end to lure it, and would treat every few inches as an hour (because that's what it would be).
Not that well. At least not accurately. I give my memory a lot of credit, but the majority of my memories are the equivalent of how you might be watching TV and a person's face is blurred out. The "memory" in this case is there but with aspects fizzled out. I often have to triangulate lost recollections from the memories that do exist.
The conclusion goes beyond just the background of a lone preacher. I also did explicitly specify that part is not unquestionable, so I'm not sure why the analysis is being mocked as if it were declared finalized. Many alternatives may be argued, though none would seem equally precise/unbiased.
Note I said recorded history, not actual history. I'm well aware the Earth goes back much longer and that the young earth hypothesis is false.
I'm not sure where the parts about the pre-Xia dynasties of China or the Australians always being in Australia come from, unless the latter is a jab at something many may have picked up about me (in which case this is another testament to the demeanors I receive from others).
Whether someone is corrupt in terms of power is only one element of their character. I do not believe the whole "Caesar's wife must be above suspicion" expression because it implies individuals are not sovereign enough to escape being judged for the actions of others. If my boyfriend were corrupt, there's still a chance he's boyfriendly.
The eight day system stands out though as it's the Buddhist equivalent of sabbath. They valued lunar patterns (many went to their mass at night) and moon phases marked temple days, which they based an eight-day division on, while the weird daytime divisions were common in every culture until the clock was invented. The six day week is used because six is the most useful one-digit number when making unitary constructs, not so much with time in particular in mind (whether it divides into 365 was not contemplated anymore than whether the traditional seven does, with the earliest recorded year being rooted in archaeology, though yes it's not unquestionable except for the fact that the next best conclusion I'm aware of would be that something like the Toba super-eruption should be the starting point, and there is difficulty in that).
The thing about aesthetics is, while things that are useful could be said to be anti-aesthetic, things that are aesthetic could be said to be anti-useful (think handwriting versus print; one is far more practical). Both may be satisfying, but only one can go places. Admittedly it's a rough balance between natural and mathematical aspects of time, albeit it wouldn't have it any other way.
I shall call it...... the vacuum cleaner!
What's something that's scammy but only in ways you've connected the dots on?
Fall and Winter are typically the season for this, but I've noticed more people than usual have taken up interest in what amount to gyms. These very, very expensive gyms, which market themselves as almost exceptional in how they can help you regain yourself. All the while these "miracle body regimes" are advertised everywhere. Suspicious industry much?
Some neighbors of mine were headed there. I remember this because they were about to get into their vehicle, and I asked "the location is right around the corner, you don't want to walk and maybe save transport money" and they responded "no, we're old, we can't do that" before they rode there and gained entry so they can run on the machine, and returned having used their whole wallet due to the journey/destination. Though not as memorable as the fact they came back with a brand of potato chips with the same name as the place they went to. Nothing like feeding into what you're there to fix.
How about you though?
Just out of curiosity, how do you report an authority figure (or how have you)?
Suppose you've come across someone running the place and there are examples of a case that can be made that they've broken rules. What next?
What actually is the deal with the concept of "projecting"?
So I'm fairly social for someone like me and have done my fair share of talking to people as well as toward people, some talks being more passionate than others, so I guess having my odds of this reduced is a factor here when I say occasionally "projecting" will be brought up during a conversation. One should "stop projecting" they might say. It's always in an accusatory kind of context, with being described a certain way by someone else often being connected to the latter person fitting what they're thinking of.
Is this... a meme for a lack of a better word? Where does this conceivably come from? Seeing such a thing all the time, I can't fathom the mindset, it seems so faulty my mind groups it in with grievance misapplication. Why would someone play hot potato with things even deemed to be things nobody should be handling like it's second nature? How could someone in control subconsciously see instinct in this? What happened the last time this came up for you, when did it turn out to be the case?
Where do the rural homeless near you live?
This seems to be something people don’t always give second thought to. When people talk about the homeless, the first things thought about are images of people on busy city streets in rusty clothes waiting around near allies. In there, the answer is quite static, because it can be I guess. But if that’s the case, change the setting and that changes too. In the places where I’ve lived, people often needed that mapped out. Where are they known in your rural locales?
How old is the oldest building in the town you live in?
To those from the Western hemisphere, it’s always fascinating to hear that some homes and businesses from the times of the Greek philosophers still have inhabitants, and then you remember that the Western hemisphere is itself not without its own examples, for example some Mexican villages still have temples from the times of the Mayans.
What are all the ethnic foods you've ever eaten?
There are some exotic foods we tend to take for granted exist. Almost every city for example has a Chinese restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, and maybe an Outback Steakhouse. But this isn't universal for some reason. Someone asked me if I wanted to go to an Egyptian restaurant and I was like "wait, they have restaurants?"
A question for all those who would say they consider themselves ethnically fluent. What are all the cultural categories of food you've had?
