The difference between 2nd and 3rd candidates is 2000 votes. There were 9 million votes in total. That's insanely close. There is widespread fear that during the recount some votes will be nullified, and some will be changed in some god forsaken villages, resulting in an overturn (which will result in a re-election according to the constitution).
Candidate #1 is a pro russian fascist. #2 is progressive pro-european. #3 is just very corrupt and made a lot of people angry. If #1 goes against #2 in the second round, #2 has a decent chance of winning. #1 against #3 would be really bad, like having to choose between hitler and trump.
I just think bathing is a waste of time. I just want want to clean myself quickly and get out, I have better things to do.
In the Romanian presidential elections we just had, we have a fascist extreme right-wing candidate who got 1st place (note that we have a 2 round election system and this was only the first round). He appeared out of nowhere with a TikTok campaign, he didn't have a traditional ad campaign, he didn't participate in any debates, a lot of people who don't use TikTok haven't even heard about him. We will know in 2 weeks if we become fascist or not.
There are 2 problems. First is the hybrid war going on. The western world needs to do better. Ban TikTok and take drastic measures to limit the spread of misinformation and propaganda on social media.
The second big problem is that western leaders are ignoring the real problems affecting average people. The out of control immigration (the problem isn't with the people immigrating, but with a system unable to integrate them into the rest of the society), rising costs, unaffordable housing, huge tax burden are real problems that aren't being addressed. People are rightfully angry with the current leaders and are looking for alternatives. But most people aren't very smart or care enough about politics, so they are easy prey to propaganda and extremist groups that are calling out these problems.
It's not that bad that it needs to be torn down. The structure is fine. It just needs some expensive renovations to replace the inside doors (outside ones are fine), do some professional cleaning of the scale buildup in the pipes, fixup the electric stuff, insulate the roof, replace some of the flooring, replace some of the bad appliances, and some cleanup of the old junk.
Connecting to municipal water is not a problem, it can be done, it will only need digging a trench to the road.
When building his house, my father took many shortcuts and often picked the cheaper option, even if it would be more costly in the long term. And even when a cheap piece of crap breaks becuse it's a cheap piece of crap, he goes and buys another cheap piece of crap to replace it.
For example, he refuses to connect to the city water supply, instead he built a well. This can be a good way to save on water costs, as long as your regularly replace filters and test the water to make sure it's safe, and descale it if too hard.
However, he rarely replaces the filters and refuses to install a water softening system. We got sick a few times because of the water (now we just buy bottled when visiting), and all appliances, faucets, water heater are clogged with limescale that cause low water pressure. Fixing or replacing all of them is going to be super expensive.
Similarly, he bought the cheapest doors, and we got stuck because the door handle broke. The house is full of improvised electric stuff. The fridge is so bad it regularly breaks, and even when it's working sometimes food spoils after just 1-2 days because it doesn't cool evenly. He is also a bit of a hoarder, and has a terrible taste in furniture and decorations.
I am the most likely to inherit the estate, and I'm honestly not looking forward to having to deal with all that crap.
That's a decent salary for Eastern Europe. In Ukraine, the median salary is below $500/mo. Just look at the map, $2000/mo puts you above average for all the countries in Eastern and Central Europe.
Also, they successfully occupied most of the countries in western and central Europe. It's only when they tried to expand into Russia that the war started. If they didn't pick a fight with the russians, the Third Reich would have lasted much longer.

Onedrive is pretty ok, other than being annoying. A company I worked for was acquired by another company that had their own cloud storage product. After the acquisition, they forced us to migrate from onedrive to their product. It was so bad... Files would constantly corrupt and disappear, the speed was terrible, trying to share files didn't work half the time, when sharing folders the people you shared with wouldn't see all the files in the folder. They also limited our storage from 1TB to 25GB making it pretty useless for storing builds of our product or trying to share VMs.
And the worst part is that they also closed our SMB network share to force us to use that piece of shit.
After that experience, I will never complain about Onedrive again.

The ones I hate the most are on public beaches. At least in Romania where I live, when you go to the beach in summer, there is always some shitty bar that blasts music you can hear 500m away and occupy a lot of public beach space with their beach chairs for rent.
I recently saw gamers nexus' Intel tour. It was like seeing a sci-fi movie, it's incredible how advanced the stuff they do is. I also found it incredible how much it takes to build a chip... It takes about 2-3 months from wafer to chip.
The problem would be solved if these scales would take a AAA battery which has a lot more capacity than a tiny cell.
