Is this father of dropout.tv’s Sam Reich, Robert Reich?
Who has told you that you can’t photograph the cameras?
I’ve been saying that we need to have a law on the books to require any online components of a game be required to have the source to those features be released upon closure of the online service. I would be fine with them then being except from any security liability for anyone who gets hacked by use of that software and even retaining ownership of the IP, so no one could sell access to the service, but being able to stand up fan-run servers for old Xbox-live games or dead MMOs more easily would be really great. I’m locked out of so many PlayStation trophies simply because online servers have been down for ages now.
They’re right. I have been using old videos games for recreation. Too bad that they’ve decided to prevent me from paying for the privilege or at least being tracked through library usage and have instead decided it’d be better if I was just an untrackable “criminal”
Either way, I’m enjoying these old games and living my life guilt free.
Yum brands has always been at the forefront of using tech to sell fast food. This was true then and is true now. Taco Bell has pioneered kiosks and in-app ordering as well as KDS in QSR environments.
You’re right, the satanic temple has never been successful at eliminating religious favor from government policy by overtly using religious law to do something shocking.
The storyline is more mystical? There’s a larger focus on skills selections and cooking in this, and the relationships are more varied.
I would like to start arguing about how many days are in a week in this thread please.
I don’t remember this happening in the show. Was it before they shot out kingpin’s eye or after?
Yeah all of these are ridiculous but save file editing? lol. That’s insane.
I really hate to defend this guy because he clearly sucks. But honestly: smart move. Your phone password and much of the contents of your phone should be considered speech and you shouldn’t be compelled to testify against yourself. That said, if this phone was government property then he shouldn’t have been the only one capable of unlocking it, which is a policy failure.
I think the analogy holds. Communities destroyed in favor of the powerful’s whims
I really hate to argue in favor of all those scary things, but with those things in the old west came education and improvements to quality of life; better protections for the vulnerable and cures and prevention of disease.
Same could be said of the internet if we follow the analogy.
For a few years now.
Oh no what a shame…
No… stars?

Touch Friendly Distro Recommendations
Hey all!
I currently utilize Debian and used KDE Plasma on my old computer as a Plex server, RetroNAS, and also run protonVPN when i need to use it for downloading files for Plex to server on my network devices. The only problem is, I have to leave a keyboard and mouse plugged in for when i need to use it, but don’t have much space in the corner it stays in.
I happen to work for a touch screen company and have a glut of touch screens laying around my home office and I’ve got a VESA mount in the corner this PC lives in, and one of my spare touch monitors can go there. Unfortunately I’ve had trouble with touch friendliness with Linux distros. I’d love to find one that can support my usage needs with just the touch screen. So an on screen keyboard, and support for scrolling web pages (Wayland?) and other scrollable areas would be stellar.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a distro that would be great at this kind of thing? My PC uses an intel chipset with integrated graphics, if that matters.

Best Desktop Distro for Gaming?
I currently run windows 10 on my main desktop PC, and also have a steam deck that I sometimes use in desktop mode instead of my desktop. With the way Windows is going, and the way Linux Gaming is dramatically improving, I might consider ditching Windows, at least for the most part, on my next PC build. What would be the best distro to use for gaming, with casual use as well? Any suggestions?
Has anyone bought one of these New CRTs from alibaba?

This is my very good boy, Growlithe. He’s 10 years old and we were just informed he has a mass on his liver.
We’re not doing so well with the news. We’ve had him since he was a 8-week-old puppy, and we’re definitely not ready to say goodbye. He’s the sweetest and quietest husky you’ve ever met.
Anyway, I guess I’m posting just as a coping mechanism, but I guess post your messages for him or us, his caretakers, and we’d love to share them with him or appreciate your admiration for him.

Kbin Magazine for CRTs
A place to discuss Cathode Ray Tube displays, especially with respect to retro (and modern) gaming. Upscalers, cabling, homebrew software, and related analog technology discussions are also encouraged!
I figured folks who are exploring both Kbin and Lemmy might enjoy subbing to both to get a mix of fediverse CRT love!
First post! Thought I’d share a photo of my main CRT Setup
This 32” beast of a trinitron has been RGB modded and accepts composite, S-video, and of course RGB. Geometry isn’t perfect, but it’s close enough to sit back and enjoy!
