I've found the experience of coming back to Reddit rather pleasant as of late.
By "coming back to Reddit", of course, I mean clicking the Reddit link when looking for the specific answer to a question and reading exclusively that page.
And by "as of late" of course, I mean since I installed the "old Reddit redirect" Firefox add-on and used the filter selector of Ublock origins to remove every element of the page that featured a snu or suggested that I log in.
