The best way to handle it is to laugh about it. She makes some remark about trans or gays, just laugh or smile as if it was a joke or as if she is drunk and stupid. :)
It feels much better for the soul. Don't fight her. She will have those opinions either way.
Each person has their own development journey. You don't blame a kid for throwing up on the floor. Just relax and accept whatever happens.
If you do this, you will grow as a person and realize there is another way to handle conflict that feels quite good. :)
Another way to handle it is the stoic stare. You just look at her quietly when she says things without saying anything. Just keep eye contact for an uncomfortable amount of time to make a point, making the others around the table notice the bad vibes and get uncomfortable. Personally I think this is harder to pull off in a setting with many people, so I prefer the first one.
I don't know if it's most people, do you think so? From my own life, there has been almost only nice people in real life. Social media though is very different and people act like it's not a person on the other side of this screen.
Are we taking to a bot?
Politics makes you fight people you haven't even talked to.
That's the worst anyone has done to you?
You are so blessed. :)
Even if he is, don't judge people before you walk in their shoes.
Why would you intentionally post a hurtful comment to someone like this, and specially if it's a sad person?
Meh, matrix brainwashing. Be yourself.
This one was a lot of fun, if it's the one I think it is. Does it have instagib maps where you jump across platforms in space and one hit is one kill? I have very fond memories of that as a kid. Super fun.
The great circle... Lols. That's a really bad name.
Linkedin is this place where I cringe so hard every time I read something. It's hard for me to understand how people can be so much into the matrix.
I liked the term npc for these people. Non player characters. They are just like Ai generated spam.
It's like in a game and you walk up to a npc and he is a very stereotypical character with no surprises, no depth to his character at all, just surface level attributes. He talks about obvious things as if they were somehow unique or special. It's like he was born yesterday. He doesn't have the ability to see through his own programming and believes everything. He views himself as a "professional" and wears a suit or tries to imitate Steve Jobs.
This is how I feel about these linkedin people. Lols.
Well Microsoft spies on every user so sure, it's completely open to Microsoft what they do and who they are.
It's to overcome challenges and become a better person. To not live like an animal, to have morals, strength of character, treat others well, help other people.
Basically the opposite of what the TV and social media is telling us.
I'm not reading game theory and I'm not talking about myself. I live with a woman for over 10 years now. But I've noticed how the landscape has changed and it's more difficult now to date. I have colleagues that are just laughing about it. Some have given up completely.
I think you don't notice the difference unless you are actively dating these days. Social media wrecked it.
Sounds like you should reconsider how you spend your life on earth.
Framework has horrible reviews...
I would probably go with a Dell but to be honest, I don't think any brand feels worth the money.
Dont buy Lenovo, both of mine broke after a year of light usage at home. Keyboard buttons on one, trackpad on the other.
They have a reputation from old that they are built like tanks, but Lenovo changed all that and now it's plastic and shitty components.
What? I think this is awful advice. Social media is not real friends... It's just Randoms.
To the OP : find hobbies you like and go to them. It's the best way to meet people you will like.
I was talking about appearance. Behavior varies a lot of course, and is very different for different genders or personalities what they like in the other person.
Still my point stands (in my opinion). Appearance is the single most important attribute for dating successfully. You cannot be ugly or you are out of luck.
It's very agreed on what humans find attractive when it comes to looks. Nice skin, symmetric features, etc.
I feel really sorry for people who are not attractive, because in today's society, everything is about how attractive you are. You get more partners, friends, contacts, job offers... The human race are very animal-like in that way. And science tells people we are just animals, so why not act like animals, right?
This is a big topic so I won't bore anyone, but everyones life has a higher meaning. If you are not attractive, don't get depressed by that. Accept it and live your life as if you were. Do the things you want to do.
Located in a former bank downtown, the facility has had 300 people apply for its remaining 17 rental beds
This is not dystopian at all, is it? Humans sleeping in pods. I guess it beats homelessness but this seems like a fail on epical levels (unless profits for these pod companies are what we care about).

LG monitor asking about ad tracking preferences
It. Is. Never. Enough.
You paid hundreds of dollars for a new monitor, but it doesn't matter. More ads, more profits.
I hate it.
Alien Romulus
I just watched alien romulus and I thought it was really frustrating. What happened to the lethal face huggers and the older, experienced crew of spaceships that got paid like shit by the company?
Now they are hitting face huggers left and right with sticks, and people just get up after having one over their face.
I didn't feel like I cared about the characters. They were actually quite unlikeable. I really miss Ripley. She had enormous amount of character, strength and intelligence. What did we get in this movie? They are all super generic.
Just disappointed. How about you guys?
Valve reminds Steam users they don't actually own a darn thing they buy
GOG previously said it wants "to ensure your gaming legacy is always in your hands"
I guess it's just a matter of time before you subscribe to games, and you lose access when you stop paying.
Kagi Snaps
This is not revolutionary but it saves some keystrokes when wanting to limit results to certain sites.
Personally I don't really limit anything with Kagi. It's usually just finding what I want without having to do anything.
Removing Windows Recall breaks File Explorer in latest 24H2 update - NotebookCheck.net News
I wish I was a billion dollar company who gets away with stuff like this. Just generally break people's systems, add spyware, lie to users, treat them like shit.
All while making even more money and my stocks keep on going up, because AI, Ai, Ai...
How is the calories meter on exercise bikes accurate
The bike knows my height and weight and that's about it. From that it can calculate how my body burns calories?
Every body is very different, so I don't see how any calculation can be accurate.
Hetzner launches s3-compatible object storage
I can't express how much I love hetzner doing this. There is a huge market for people who just need some instances and reliable/cheap object storage to run their apps.
Explain why the US bail system is not insane
If you have money, you can pay the bail and get released, while poor people can't.
I don't see why people with money should get benefits in the legal system?
Bosses are firing Gen Z grads just months after hiring them—here’s what they say needs to change
Here’s what they say needs to change.
Is gen z intentionally refusing to change their behavior for work, or what is the reason for this?
Kind of think it's cool that they remain themselves.
This will be a vote against competition.
Similar to America, Europe is also artificially trying to make consumers choose native cars, by making Chinese ones more expensive.

It's about debt on zombie office towers.
This article describes the real reason behind the push back to the office. It's about rich people gambling on real estate and now office buildings are empty.
These same people own newspapers and media channels which is why their crying voices are being pushed.
Frostpunk 2 releases in 1 hour!
Not long to go now :) Frostpunk 1 was one of my all time favorite games and I think everyone should check out the sequel. It's been getting stellar reviews.
Do remote workers actually work? Yes, but they also shop and shower
Remote workers often brag about how productive they are at home, but a new survey sheds light on what they're really doing all day.
My favorite quote:
> While employees in the office might kill time messaging friends or flipping through TikTok, remote workers take advantage of being far from the watchful gaze of bosses to chip away at personal to-do lists or to goof off.
> Nearly half of remote workers multitask on work calls or complete household chores like unloading the dishwasher or doing a load of laundry, according to the SurveyMonkey poll of 3,117 full-time workers in the U.S.
Oh noes, people actually doing things that are useful for their families instead of even more computer time.
It's insane that this is even considered strange or surprising. When I work from home, I take longer lunch breaks and I often stop working earlier, but I'm still three times as productive compared to sitting in an office.
At home, I actually get focused time to do something and think. At the office, this is extreamly difficult with all the distractions and noise constantly interrupting my train of thought.
My Job Is to Train Tesla's Cars to Drive Themselves
A worker on Tesla's Autopilot team described what it's like labeling the influx of driver videos.
Some quotes from the article:
> There is something very strange about having this very intimate view into someone's life. It feels odd to see someone's daily drive, but it's also an important part of correcting and refining the program.
> We review about five and a half to six hours of footage per day. It can be very hard to focus. You can get in this kind of fog when you're just watching clip after clip and it can be difficult to keep yourself sane.
> Anytime you're not clicking around in the software program, it tracks you as if you aren't working and it basically sets off an alarm to your superiors.
These jobs sound very dystopian to me, and a bit psychopathic as well. All the movies I watched growing up about dystopian societies is reflected in what this guy says about his job.
Off by default, but never fully gone.
Who is surprised?
Customize YouTube to work exactly the way you want it to.
I'm using this all the time myself. There is no login to YouTube required and it supports adding subscriptions and doing everything important you can do on YouTube.
And the best part is no ads whatsoever.
There's also a new browser choice screen. Today Apple has announced a new set of changes it's going to implement into its mobile operating systems to...
I don't expect most iPhone users to ever change their default settings, but it's nice that it will be possible in a year.
Who knows, maybe one day you can run actual Firefox on them too? :p
