I've been wondering the same thing. Is it something to do with our lifespan, cognitive biases, political arrangements or what? We can read about things that happened in living memory and still make the same mistakes. Seems like some things change rapidly, e.g. computers, and some things change on a glacial timescale e.g. religion.
You need to find someone you trust. There's no technology that can prevent someone disclosing data if it's their job to work with that data.
If you treat people with respect and pay them well, you will be amazed at what they give back. Especially autistic people, they tend to have high personal integrity.
Makes sense from a financial point of view. I tend to do extensive research before a big purchase and wouldn't want to be changing cars too often.
From an energy and pollution point of view it makes sense to buy quality and maintain the vehicle over a long time period.
It's tricky at the moment because we are transitioning to electric powertrains and these vehicles are not comparable to internal combustion.
America still behaves like it's in the colonial era. It is the country that has been invading sovereign nations, sabotage and economic warfare. Nobody likes a bully.
At first sign of calamity immediately stock up on toilet paper.
Who feels sorry for these idiotic bigots who have criminalised every other drug?
Started with caffeine as a child and never really stopped. School was a problem and I sought solace in cannabis as a teen. Eventually cannabis became toxic to my mental health and I quit it in my twenties, and alcohol somewhat filled the void. A ten year hiatus from all substances ensued but I hated my job and went back to education to retrain and this is where I really got into it with drugs.
Motivating long and boring tasks is ADHD kryptonite, as I'm sure many here are familiar. This particular motivational mountain was a PhD thesis and my weapons of choice were opioids, cocaine, amphetamine and benzodiazepines. Opioids are great for motivation, stimulants sharpen the concentration and benzos let me sleep. I was unaware of ADHD at this time but I knew something was wrong and that this cocktail was completely unsustainable.
Fast forward three years and I finally learn why I seek these things, it's ADHD, duh. Now I have the correct medication and therapy I never think about drugs. I'm happy and productive, I can work on undoing forty years of pretending to be someone without an attention deficit.
Hitler also carried out everything he campaigned on. It's the appeal of a populist strongman, they actually do what they say they're gonna do.
The problematic part was all the extra stuff he didn't mention. When he said he would deal with the Jewish problem few people understood how far he would go. He was also beholden to big business despite his apparently socialist posturing.
Interesting. I've been buying mine at 3 years and keeping them until they become uneconomic to repair. My current car is 11 and it's still in great shape.
What is the logic behind selling at 7? Are you considering increasing efficiency of new models and average maintenance burden?
What in the omega-n is going on over here?
Right? When any service offers to 'store your data' or 'remember your history' it's cause for concern.
If you squint you can see their CIA contact in the background.
We have to be the thing we want to see out in the world. If we want open source communities and an internet free of corporate influence then we have to do the work required to build them. It's not going to happen by magic.
The 4d chess version of this story. Money is the universal solvent for problems.
Bear in mind it's sometimes difficult to know how we feel. 30mg is a good starter dose but most people take more than that. I settled on 40mg but 50 is also okay. I decided to take the lowest dose that would alleviate the symptoms and avoid most of the side effects. There are many different drugs - methylphenidate, amphetamine, methamphetamine, dexamphetamine, dextroamphetamine, etc. Give yourself time to get used to lisdexamfetamine but try something else if it's not effective.
It wasn't that long ago that nobody drove cars to school. This is probably a complete non issue in places like the Netherlands. I was banned from bringing my daughter to school on a bike because they reckoned it was dangerous. The irony that cars were allowed past the gates but not bicycles was lost along the way. I kept doing it anyway because fuck cars.
Excuse me sir, do you have a licence and registration for that ice cream?
You suck
Those lights could be UFO
The democratic party per se isn't the problem.
First past the post democracies always result in what we have now. The democratic party will completely disappear under proportional representation. In it's place you will see a proliferation of the power that is being grimly clasped by the corporate kleptocracy and their minions. Instead of 1% deciding how we manage our society, everyone gets a say.
